Capo D'Orso Eventi — Restaurant in Maiori

Just got back from our dinner at Il Faro di Capo d'Orso and wow; what an experience! First of all, we were kindly greeted by all the staff and before being guided to our table. The view is absolutely stunning and thank goodness the food was equally (or maybe even more) stunning. The dishes were well composed and innovative. Each bite offered a depth of flavour and texture that often brought a smile to my and my husbands face. This was the best dinner we've had to date. Granted we are still in our late 20's early 30's, so take that as you will. Definitely a great romantic setting for a honeymoon or other special occasion. Food was overall good, but the dishes were not very well synchronized, so the food was partially getting cold. The wine didn’t match the dishes. It could have been much better.

Prices normal for this category, not too expensive, not too cheap.

Service was very off und professional. It started very uncoordinated and at the end we were kinda left alone. They ignored our comments at the reservation. And they ignored our constructive feedback at the end.

The place itself is very nice with a stunning beautiful view. But only for that certainly not recommended.

Very disappointing and way...

Siamo stati in questa location per un evento privato: il posto è davvero incantevole, con una vista che toglie il fiato. Peccato che l’unico vero spettacolo sia stato il paesaggio, perché per il resto... meglio stendere un velo pietoso. A cominciare dalla "cordialità" del proprietario, che si è distinto fin da subito per modi quantomeno discutibili. Maleducato, indisponente e aggressivo nei toni: è riuscito nell’impresa di rispondere male praticamente a tutti gli invitati, come se l’evento gli avesse rovinato la giornata. Per iniziare: alcune invitate arrivate circa 30 minuti prima dell’evento, tra cui una donna in attesa, hanno chiesto di usare il bagno. Risposta? Un bel "NO", perché era "troppo presto". Chapeau. Ascensore fuori servizio, bagno disponibile solo un piano sotto. Dettaglio trascurabile? Non proprio, se tra gli ospiti c'è un bambino in sedia a rotelle. Inaccettabile. Il buffet? Di "ricco" aveva solo il prezzo. Quantità ridicole, molte persone non sono riuscite ad assaggiare alcune delle portate a buffet, e dulcis non tanto in fundo: chi è riuscito ad assaggiare la torta ha trovato la crema sciolta. Per non parlare delle bibite che ci hanno servito, (non sono riuscito a bere un po’ di acqua fresca),visto che i bicchieri erano palesemente pochi, venivano lavati al volo e quindi caldi di lavastoviglie. Un vero tocco di classe. E poi i bambini. Dimenticati. Niente tavolo, nessuna preparazione, zero animazione. Alla richiesta, il proprietario ha improvvisato una tragicomica scusa: "gli animatori hanno avuto un incidente con lo scooter". Poco credibile, molto triste.
