Locanda Navene — Restaurant in Malcesine

The place is very well located, right on the lakefront, and has a private parking available, very handy considering how heavy the traffic gets on weekends, how difficult it is to find a parking and how expensive it is to pay for it. The rooms are a bit old and would benefit from some redecoration. The bathroom is shared with two other rooms in the same floor, and it is definitely worn and in sore need of renovation; when opening the window I noticed a roach crawling (well, there is a garden right outside). There is a simple sink in the rooms as well, so you use the common bathroom only for the toilet and the shower. The stairs are narrow and there is no lift, so this place is unfit for anyone with disabilities. The personnel are kind and polite, but the price is a bit steep for the quality you get. Would...

Food was absolutely delicious and service was great. Have been here twice already in the last few days. Originally planned to eat in the front terrace but worked out better to eat in the garden; more tourists on the terrace. In the garden, we were surrounded by Italians, so we felt more culturally immersed; was also a positive sign that the food is great when you see Italians eating at an Italian restaurant....

Locanda Navene is a really nice restaurant by the lake, which was recommended to us by some locals. Most of the guests also seemed to be Italian and no obvious tourists - which I would say is an indicator for quality.
