Osteria degli Angeli — Restaurant in Malnate

My family and I have been coming to this restaurant consistently for 19 years, ever since I was a small child. If someone asks me what the best restaurant in the world is, in my opinion, it would undoubtedly be this one. The food is outstanding every single time. In all these years, their consistency has never faltered. While many restaurants can have an off day, that’s simply not the case here. I walk in knowing that every meal will be perfect, with nothing out of place.

Over the years, I’ve probably tried most of their dishes, but my favorites are their risottos. Once you’ve had a risotto at Angeli’s, you won’t want to have one anywhere else, it’s impossible to match.

This is a family-owned business, with the husband in the kitchen and the wife managing the front of house. Anna is always so kind, welcoming, and positive. She remembers her guests and makes you feel at home every time. They also offer a wide selection of gluten-free dishes, which is a huge plus, for my mom who is gluten intolerant.

Their prices are completely justified. In fact, when you compare them to many restaurants these days, you’ll often find yourself spending the same or even more elsewhere for food and service that doesn’t come close to what you get here. It’s truly exceptional value.

Excellent restaurant, rather high grade but with reasonable price. Very nice host. They accommodated an additional table for both of us and our dog. All dishes are very well designed and tastes are outstanding. The service at the table could be slightly improved through a better knowledge on wine. Starter are 17€-22€, prima piatti is ~25€ and secondi 25-30€. The wine card is extensive with a few bottles between 20 to 40€but generally above 50€ /bottle .. which seems a bit excessive to me. The bottle I selected is 38€ and the quality/price...

Ho sentito parlare molto bene di questo ristorante in più occasioni; tuttavia le recensioni sono state determinanti nella scelta.

Pur trovandosi​ in un complesso a ridosso di un ​brutto supermercato, il locale è ​a​ccogliente, ​gradevole ed elegante al contempo, senza eccessi.

E’ gestito da due professionisti affabili ed empatici che vi accoglieranno mettendovi immediatamente a vostro agio.

Il menù proposto è particolare, accattivante, innovativo, brioso: un’esplosione di alternative stuzzicanti ai menù tradizionali, come il menù degustazione con un percorso a base di tartufo, davvero allettante per chi apprezza il prezioso ​f​ungo.

Non mancano piatti ricercati, gustosi e al contempo leggeri.

I due responsabili vi sapranno amabilmente guidare nel vostro percorso di gusto, suggerendovi i piatti più affini ai vostri ​p​alati e abbinandoli coi vini più adatti.

Pur trattandosi di uno spazio relativamente raccolto, l’atmosfera è davvero ​p​iacevole e rilassante, poiché in genere la clientela è sofisticata, sobria e​d elegantemente silenziosa, fatto questo assai apprezzabile per un convivio degno di essere splendidamente condiv​iso.

Per la tipologia del ristorante piuttosto impegnativa, mi sentirei di sconsigliarlo assolutamente a rustiche tavolate rumorose, sia per il menù proposto ad un costo relativamente impegnativo - peraltro adeguato alla qualità del cibo – sia per una location avvolgente che ben si presta a coppie o a piccoli gruppi silenziosi che predilige chiacchierare in...
