A beautiful restaurant set directly on lake Como with beautiful views. If you are lucky enough to have the weather for it, definitely sit on their patio to enjoy your meal. From the beginning the service was very professional and efficient. Then came the food, it was great food at a very reasonable price. As starter I took the salt dried grilled sardines with polenta and it was delicious. To follow I actually ordered an entrecote with peppers and BBQ sauce but due to a small issue with communication, they brought me another Entrecote dish served with rocket and Parmesan. The waiter did spot the mistake very quickly and offered to take it back but I insisted on keeping it and to be honest I didn't regret it. The steak was cooked to perfection. Questo ristorante si presenta con un aspetto un po' datato e con del personale abbastanza sbrigativo e poco empatico. Il vero problema, però, è la mano poco felice di chi sta in cucina. Abbiamo preso due antipasti, missoltini con polenta e pesciolini in carpione, nulla da dire sui missoltini (anche perché c'è poco da fare se non scaldarli sulla griglia) mentre invece il carpione proprio non andava bene. Posso capire che una ricetta si possa anche personalizzare, ma questa versione di soli pesciolini, poche cipolle e abbondantissimo forte aceto rosso, lo rendeva immangiabile. Per primo abbiamo preso due cappellacci con lavarello e patate che, come recita il menù, "served in a missoltino sauce" che nient'altro era che abbondante densa panna con un velo di missoltino grattugiato. Ebbene, già il ripieno dei cappellacci non era molto delicato, in più tutta quella panna ha proprio ammazzato il piatto e ha posto fine alla nostra triste esperienza in questo locale. Concludendo, per la qualità dei piatti, del servizio ed i prezzi tutt'altro che adeguati alla qualità, non mi sento di consigliare...
