Barsa...Bistrot — Restaurant in Marciana

This restaurant was one of the best during the whole two weeks in Italy. The Italian food was excellent and Frutti di Mare-pizza was the best we have ever tasted. We also liked the local wines that were served here.

The service was very professional, friendly and incredibly efficient - a young waitress handled it all alone flawlesly day after day. Everything just worked perfectly time after time and even during crowded peak hours. We went twice with our three children. They asked to go back after the first visit and it just as good the second time. The service was great with attention to detail and delivered with a smile. We had a mix of fish, pasta and risotto dishes and all were delicious. They were happy to make a simple portion of pasta and gnocci with tomato sauce for our youngest. Locale in ottima posizione sulla baia di Sant’Andrea, l’ambientazione è moderna e curata, le precedenti recensioni Google ci spingono a trascorrere la serata in questo locale.

Purtroppo l’esperienza non è stata all’altezza: al netto di una probabile “serata storta” nel servizio (lento, talvolta sbrigativo, sicuramente impreciso), il dispiacere viene dalla qualità dei piatti.

Il menù di pesce illustra pietanze interessanti con ricette classiche e locali: le materie prime purtroppo rovinano l’esperienza, con prevalenza di congelato (segnalato e sacrosanto, ma non di qualità purtroppo: esempio i gamberi piccoli del Pacifico da supermercato; oppure gnocchetti industriali di consistenza spiacevole), impiattamento anni ‘90 e olio di scarsa qualità. Prezzo in linea con l’isola, ma non giustificato dalla qualità delle materie prime.

In 20 anni di Elba, uno dei ristoranti più deludenti; peccato perché la posizione è stupenda!
