We came here as first suggestion we received from local people on our request of a local fisherman restaurant for very fresh fish and quality, without considering the special environment or service because we were very focused on the quality of red shrimps of thelis area. Our evaluation is different from the suggestion, because this is a good restaurant based on quality of service, food based on tourist high prices for local red shrimps of Mazara del Vallo.. The restaurant has some very good special plate as "Spaghetti Carbonara di Mare" (suggested).
I personally ordered "red shrimps of Mazara del Vallo" n. 3 (small size) and n. 2 (medium size) for tastong the flavours. The flavor was fine, but not so excellent as expected for this kind of fish or conservation.
About the wine we tasted different local white wines, but they aren't at very high level for matching the fish; I would like to enfatize that local red wines are usually very very good.
The cake "cassata" is very intense and very very sweet and you could like it depending on personal tastes.

Before we got anything, they delivered a few pieces of raw salmon which was excellent. We ordered a half litre of red, which was excellent! The calamari which you can never go wrong with and it came with some crispy green beans. The prawn carpaccio which was the first time I’ve had this. It was rich and flavourful - highly recommend. For the mains we had the tuna steak which was terrific, and the octopus which wasn’t as great, a little tough. The desert…the ricotta cheesecake with pistachio. It was superb! They also brought some home made biscottis before we left, just in case we weren’t already super full.
We also had our 7 month old with us and they never made us feel h comfortable or anything. An outstanding meal overall!!!

Delicious fresh sea food one can pick out in the front area/entrance which during daytime is an outstanding one of a kind fresh fish shop. Menus are in English and the waiters are very helpful to point out the dish of the day. You need to go there with an empty stomach especially for the dessert part.
