My partner and I enjoyed an evening here in August 2024. The food was simple, healthy and wholesome, lovely setting and view but what we enjoyed the most was the service and the heartwarming Italian love for food and family. The waiter was an old lovely gentleman who cared for us as if we were part of his family, getting us to taste all ingredients they self-produce, deboning our fish at the table to make sure we ate it safely and cutting into pieces our dessert because it was a bit hard straight from the freezer. We loved overhearing the chatter of the ladies in the kitchen, watching the two older men grilling the food at the fireplace with care and attention. We left the place feeling nourished, sweet and filled up with the essence of what Italy is for us. Mangiato molto bene entrambe le volte su un magnifico terrazzo che prima del buio offre vista panoramica sul mare. La specialità è la griglia nel focolare in pietra. Buona carta dei vini e accoglienza. Siamo stati serviti da personale diverso ogni volta, e a questo proposito racconto un aneddoto divertente, non me ne voglia il nostro oste della prima serata. La prima serata a cena ci ha serviti un signore anziano, che abbiamo creduto fosse il proprietario, per tutta la serata, il signore tra un boccone e l'altro piombava al nostro tavolo, e a dire il vero non ci faceva molto piacere, era un pò troppo esagerato nelle attenzioni, era sempre presente al tavolo per chiederci se andava bene, sembrava volerci coccolare a ogni costo, faceva lo stesso agli altri tavoli ma a noi è sembrato "subirlo" un pò di più, non riuscivamo a dire due parole da soli o a mangiare due o tre bocconi di seguito che il signore molto gentile e servizievole era di nuovo al nostro tavolo, e ovviamente per educazione abbiamo assecondato la sua predisposizione a socializzare, e in fondo siamo andati via soddisfatti della serata socialmente anomala. Quando siamo tornati dopo una settimana lo stesso signore ci ha ignorato completamente, continuava a fare il gentile ai tavoli confinanti e noi ci evitava con lo sguardo, gli abbiamo chiesto dei fazzoletti imbevuti per le mani, e porgendoceli è scappato via subito evitando di incrociare i nostri sguardi. La cosa ci è sembrata strana, però a fine serata sono esplosa in una risata, rivolgendomi a mio marito ho detto: " Amore ecco ! L'altra volta ci è sfuggito lasciargli la mancia e ora ci tiene il broncio, ecco perché finge di non riconoscerci!
