Biscó — Restaurant in Melendugno

My experience at Bisco was disappointing from the very beginning. I had made a reservation for two people via WhatsApp, but when we arrived, the staff couldn’t find my name on the list. They did manage to find us a table inside, but it was right next to a loud fan. I decided to overlook this small issue, hoping the rest of the evening would go better, especially since the restaurant was recommended by the owner of our accommodation.

We ordered a pizza and a medium-rare beef steak. The steak was cooked correctly, but the quality of the meat was terrible — full of gristle and impossible to chew. It was honestly the worst beef I’ve ever tried. The pizza, on the other hand, was good, and the serving time was decent.

However, things got worse again when we asked for the bill and mentioned we wanted to pay by card. We were left waiting for about 20 minutes with no one paying attention to us. In the end, we paid cash and left.

Siamo stati in questo ristorante durante una vacanza in Puglia e fin da subito ci ha fatto un’ottima impressione. La location è davvero carina, con quello stile tipico pugliese che tanto amiamo, e l’atmosfera è accogliente e rilassata.

Il personale è stato impeccabile: gentile, cordiale e molto attento. Un aspetto che ho particolarmente apprezzato è stata la disponibilità nel gestire le esigenze alimentari del mio ragazzo, che è celiaco. Si sono subito messi a disposizione per chiarire con precisione quali piatti fossero adatti a lui, e questo ci ha fatto sentire subito a nostro agio.

Abbiamo iniziato con un antipasto di bruschette condite a discrezione dello chef, che il cameriere ci ha descritto con grande cura e passione. Poi abbiamo ordinato due pizze speciali: entrambe deliziose, con un impasto davvero ben fatto, e sorprendentemente ottimo anche quello senza glutine. Per concludere in dolcezza, abbiamo preso un tiramisù e una cheesecake: al momento del servizio, il cameriere ci ha fatto notare con gentilezza che entrambi erano senza glutine, nel caso il mio ragazzo avesse voluto assaggiare anche l’altro dolce. Un gesto semplice, ma davvero premuroso, che abbiamo molto apprezzato.

Il conto? Assolutamente onesto: 45,50 € per tutto quello che abbiamo preso, considerata anche la qualità dei prodotti, è stato più che giusto.

Se proprio dovessi trovare un piccolo dettaglio meno in linea con l’eccellenza del resto del servizio, riguarda il momento del pagamento: la ragazza alla cassa è stata molto sbrigativa. Nulla di grave, anzi, capiamo benissimo che a fine giornata, dopo tante ore di lavoro, la stanchezza possa farsi sentire – anche perché avendo lavorato in questo settore, so bene quanto possa essere impegnativo. Probabilmente è stata solo una questione di stanchezza e di un momento particolare, perché tutto il resto dello staff è stato eccezionale. Un semplice “È andato tutto bene?” avrebbe completato perfettamente l’esperienza, ma resta comunque un dettaglio minimo in un servizio davvero eccellente sotto ogni aspetto.

La nostra è stata un’esperienza davvero piacevole e curata in ogni dettaglio, e sicuramente torneremo con molto piacere....

The excellent family restaurant is in the grand old house with a beautiful interior. Another person served each part of the service, which gave a fancy feeling. The food was delicious and nicely served—especially gluten-free pizza with a thin and crispy crust and beautiful toppings. Toppings are rich, wealthy, and decadent. I...
