Milan has plenty of restaurants, but Al Garghet feels like another world - from the atmosphere to the traditional Milanese food, it’s pure magic. Have you ever been? Or do you have another hidden tradition spot in Milan I should try? • • • #milan #WhereToEat #FoodTok #dinner #smallcreator

Al Garghet – A Hidden Gem Near Milan (Make Sure to Book!) We recently visited Al Garghet, just outside Milan, and what an experience it was! A place that truly feels like you're visiting your grandmother’s house—if your grandmother happened to be a world-class Italian cook. First off, make a reservation! The place is huge, yet fully packed, a true testament to how loved it is. We hadn’t booked in advance, but the kind lady who greeted us went out of her way to find us a table for three. Her warm hospitality really set the tone for the afternoon. The service was excellent, and the food… absolutely incredible. It's almost unfair to compare it to a home-cooked meal—unless your nonna can whip up a perfect Pavlova, a creamy Tiramisù, or a massive Cotoletta alla Milanese that literally spills off the edges of a very large plate. Speaking of the Cotoletta, even if you come starving, it’s a serious challenge to finish it. Thankfully, they’re so thoughtful—they pack up whatever’s left for you to take home. We also had Vitello Tonnato, among other dishes, and everything was bursting with flavor. You’d expect Italian food to be good, of course, but this was on a whole different level—ten times better and completely authentic. No doubt about it: I’ll be back. There are still so many dishes on the menu I want to try. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a truly special Italian dining experience just outside the city.

We made a reservation 4 months ago as the restaurant is usually booked and it increased our expectation; we arrived first to the restaurant 3 of us and waiters shows our table and we sit.we ordered our drinks are served etc…after 20 minutes; director came and said ‘we should change your table as your are 3 but the table is 4 , we were shocked as he even didn’t bother himself to apologize and even worst is it was their mistake. If I were them I never dare to change the guest place after they settle down ordered and started even drinking and eating. We feel embarrassed on behalf of them!!! They even didn’t bother themselves to verbally apaologize or even compensate their rude attitude with a simple treatment. Nothing!!!!The table we exchanged was on the road; tiniest table for 3 people and we even have our baby with us which is not easy to move!!!

Restaurant is too exagrated, we waited half hour for a waiters to take our order for desert although everything me and my husband forced ourselves not to judge the restaurant because of their mean rude attitude but unfortunately ; food , service … attitude… nothuing was good.

After we paid our food cause we give yo ordering the dessert since no one is looking for us 30 minutes!!! At the cashier ; we told that our kind advise is they should never change a table for a minor reason of a guest when after they settle down even with the baby. The director apologize for the case and he went inside to check the owner if they can compensate the issue with a kind treatment however the owner/lady said no and the situation even get worsed; he said hope we can see you soon…

Such a terrible service, attitude and a huge frustration of a restaurant that we made the reservation 4 months ago.

They made the mistake by showing a wrong table We were 2 adult 1 kid sited on 4 person table They made the mistake by aşking to change our table after 20 minute we ordered and started drinking , baby on the table!!! They asked this change by a very wrong attitude like it’s our fault that we have to change No apologize no treatment nothing… We have to carry all our stuff while changing our table including our drinks breads… We have sited the new table middle of the road of the restaurant tiniest table The new guest who sited our first table is 2 adult and 2 kid so is not a huge differences than our position !!!! We waited 30 minute someone to asked our order for desert and we give up in the end We paid our food and go to the admin to share our kind advise They apologize and act like they want to fixed the frustration and asked to the owner (lady) and then they came with saying ‘ no sorry hope we can see you again … ‘

Such a big frustration!!!!

I sinsercely do not recommend at...

From the moment we stepped into this restaurant, we knew we were in for a treat. Nestled away from the bustling streets of Milan, this place offers a stunning, unique location that is simply unmissable. As we made our way to the inner garden, we were greeted by an atmosphere that was both inviting and unmistakably Milanese—sophisticated yet relaxed, with a charm that is hard to resist.

Our evening began with a feast for the senses. The portions here are nothing short of abundant, and the highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the giant cotoletta. It was delicious, albeit a tad heavy, but its sheer size and taste made it a dish worth savoring. Each bite was a rich, satisfying experience, showcasing the chef's mastery over this classic Milanese staple.

The garden setting added a magical touch to our dining experience. Surrounded by greenery, with the soft glow of fairy lights overhead, the ambiance was incredibly pleasant. It felt like a hidden oasis in the heart of the city, offering a perfect escape from the urban hustle.

However, it's worth noting that such an exceptional experience comes at a price. The restaurant is certainly not the most budget-friendly option, but the quality of the food, the generous portions, and the unparalleled ambiance make it worth every euro. Plus, everything here is super Instagrammable, from the beautifully plated dishes to the picturesque surroundings. It's the kind of place where every corner is a photo opportunity, making it a hit among social media enthusiasts.

One minor drawback was the parking situation. The internal parking is a bit tricky to navigate, so it's something to keep in mind if you're driving. Despite this small inconvenience, the overall experience more than made up for it.

In conclusion, this restaurant is a place you absolutely have to try. It combines excellent food, a wonderful atmosphere, and a touch of Milanese elegance, making it a standout destination for both locals and visitors. Highly recommended for a memorable culinary...

This place is amazing. Upon your reservation which we did about a month earlier everything went as smooth as possible. Clear communication and perfect service from the start. The staff are amazing, polite, warm, welcoming and quite tidy. As for the atmosphere of the restaurant is one of a kind. It’s located next to a farm house (Cascina) or it is the Cascina itself, since it was dark when we arrived I couldn’t figure that out. But the interior design is like a maze but a beautiful one. We started with a great appetiser, bocconcini with crudo that tasted great. Also the fried vegetables mix tasted really good. Not burned enough fried to the perfect point without ruining the taste. Las but not least and the delicious part the food. Best cotoletta milanese that I’ve ever tasted. Juicy, well cooked and super tasty. Another food that we tried which also was very very good was Ossobuco with risotto milanese (with Zafferano) which tasted amazing. It is a bit expensive but be assured that the price is well compensated by the quality and the quantity of the food. We also had a desert called crema di mascarpone, which basically was kind of scrambled cheese (like a dip) slightly sweetened and was served with some small cookies to dip in it. Overall, one of the best restaurants in Milano. Totally recommended. Go on reservation because without it they won’t accept you. Be careful on the road there if you are an unexperienced driver! It might be a bit tight for...
