I don't even want to make One Star, for such a disappointing experience, and awful serve for this so called Michelin Restaurant. My BF reserved one table two days before for celebrating my birthday, when we arrived, the waitress told us, we are still on the waiting list, cause i received one e mail once i made the reservation on their website which showed the date and table were available, the email is written in Italian actually means we are on the waiting list, it's not confirmation e-mail but it shows the address and reserver's name date and time, it's really confusing and not friendly to English speakers, the most tricky thing is if your restaurant was all reserved, why still showing the date, time and table available. We almost spent one hour to get there just for a happy birthday night, but we are told we are still on the waiting list even before the open time we didn't get any notice said there might not have a table available for us tonight, this working process of this restaurant is such make no sense, we can't say anything with lauaguage limited, only we received from the restaurant is ruthless refused, the women who served at the front desk is patient not nice at all with cold attitude, without any clear explanation she just let us go away ASAP. My brithday night is completely ruined out, imagine we were standing in front of this Michelin restaurant in this cold winter such far away from city centre at night, we can't not book instantly for any other restaurant for dinner, which is the worse experience in Milan. I'm sorry i have this negative words for this restaurant because of my frustrating experience, personally i like the Cook and the environment very much, but it's so challenging...
Read moreFirst off: DO NOT recommend this place, this restaurant doesn’t worth a star.
It’s our 6th Michelin star restaurant we have visited this year, by far the worst experience.
Overall: It was my friend birthday, I’ve called and send email few days in advance asking if they could provide a candle or write “happy birthday” on the desert as a surprise. No respond.
Wine pairing: When we arrived, the lady was very arrogant and cold, we took the 6 courses but she said there will be no wine pairing options, she recommended 2 bottles, 1 red and 1 white, the white was good, the red was “produce by the chef?” It was bad, beyond bad. It’s very rare when you go to a star restaurant ordering a menu but don’t present a wine pairing for you. To me this is just pure laziness.
The food: overall it’s too heavy, too much cream, the risotto was way way way undercook, I know what al dente means, but it’s raw! I can’t even finished it.
The plating was awful as you can see in the pictures, the sauce, the taste the balance, everything were just off.
The service: The waiters are always in a rush of taking your plate, without even asking, are you satisfied? How’s the food? Never once asked. As said the “women manager” was very rude and arrogant.
The atmosphere: Overall nice, hidden restaurant in a not so nice neighborhood, but the decoration and the garden were nice.
Summary: I was fooled by the Michelin website, coming with hope and excellent experience, but leaving with huge disappointment. The pictures on the website were stunning and impressive, interesting and mouth watering. But this is a scam after all. You can have much better choices in Milan.
Do I recommend: definitely NO Will I come back: NO Satisfied:...
Read moreI don’t think the restaurant deserves michelin star. We were very disapointed. It was definitely the worst restaurant with michelin star that we have visited in our life. Ravioli were nothing special. Spaghetti was mediocre. Octopus was hard, gummy, and mediocre. The same day we have visitied another restaurant with michelin star: Alice restaurant and there both: pasta and octopus were explicit and delisious. Only foie gras was good in this restaurant. The service is just a disaster. They made mistake and I end up eating alone without my husband. Later he had to eat alone. I understand everybody can make mistakes but it depends how you fix it. They could propose some small extra food so we don’t eat seperetaly. They could also take my food away and bring it later with my husband dish as I had cold apetizer. They were stressed but this also makes client uncomfortable. We didn’t say anything but even in mediocre restaurant you eat together. The restaurant wants to be elegant and stiff but interior is out of taste, and seems to be cheap and they had awful, dirty (... yes...not clean) toilet. Deserts they give for free at the end are just too sweat and again mediocre.
Additionally what to some people may be importowant they have very weak mobile signal.
At the end chef is sitting in his small Office next to the door of the restaurant and opens the door as the door is locked. He just said good night... even didn’t ask us about food and wasn’t interested in our experience.
If you look for a nice restaurant with a michelin star visit berton ristorante, trussardi la scala or alice ristorante or even great pizzeria without a star: Marghe...
