The day at the CORALLO Beach startet pretty well. We took 2 umbrellas with 4 chairs direct jn the first row. The "chair-manager" was friendly, helpful, professional and sympathic.
Later I was going to order a bottle of wine and beer at the bar. The 2 female bartender sadly didn't know nothing about their portfolio but were sympathic and tried their best.
We had normally the plan to stay their the whole day. Sadly that finished as we was planning to have lunch their.
The restaurant part was already busy so we decided to eat some aperitivo snacks, antipasti plates and some bottle of wine at the bar tables/lounge tables outside ... specially that we had our small son with us in the buggy (sleeping time ;) ) ... as we wanted to order the waiter (from restaurant) explained us that it is just alloud to eat in the restaurant inside.
In general not that big problem... but already outside in the lounge area a couple did enjoy aperitivo snacks ... and in the same moment some bartender from the evening shift arrived and prepared for themselve a table with cover, tissues, forks & knives for a lunch time.
At that point we were very confused and asked why we cannot spend the lunch their!? The waiter turned around and walked back to restaurant.
For us the point we decided to pack our bags and slowly leave the place. ONLY the "sunchair-manager" was coming after us to apologize and promised us that we can have a table and they will prepare everything.
Fun fact ... when we took all our things and walked to the parking - already some other guests enjoyed pasta and other snacks at the lounge tables at the bar area.
For us absolutely unprofessional... specially that the owner couple experienced the whole situation and has not the balls to speak to us, apologize or explain something.
1 star for the...
Read moreWe popped in for a quick lunch straight from the beach — I was even barefoot ;) But the place offered us a level of service and food quality we hadn’t expected from a beach restaurant. As we were considering our orders, the waiter came over to present the catch of the day. Then we were served some elegant appetisers and got to taste fresh olive oil with warm, freshly baked bread. When the fish arrived, the waiter offered to remove the bones and skin, which he did very skilfully. The fish was excellent, and the spaghetti with raw shrimp was also delicious. We finished off with a fancy tiramisu. Throughout the meal, we enjoyed a beautiful view of the sea. The waiter and waitress were attentive and encouraging, but never pushy. They seemed genuinely pleased when we told them we were happy with the meal. The prices are, of course, on the higher side, but it’s nice to treat yourself to a really good meal...
Read moreWe've booked a table for 4 initially and then we ended up 2 of us ,there wasn't any problem switching the table for 2 the sever was more then happy to help. As soon as sitting at the table service was pretty good taking the order and serving water as well as the head waiter suggested a good value for money wine , started arrived in time wide choices of crudités, cooked and marinated sea food , reflected our aspectatives , although something went wrong with the" perceves" . Afterwards we had gambero rosso spaghetti and lobsters, wich in my humble opinion a bit disappointed for a 28 euro dish as well as the gambero rosso spaghetti was few things different then last time that I had it. Dessert was alright, pistachio cheesecake well suggested not crazy for the almond parfait . Mainly fresh product perhaps not well in harmony with the contest....
