Just finished a sumptuous lunch here: beautifully located in a floral garden beneath an enormous locust tree and singing blackbirds with a lovely view that reached the sea in the distance. Wonderful dishes that tasted divine. 5 stars from us all. Especially myself, being the only gluten intolerant/vegan. No problem for the amazing chef, whom we were told by his lovely wife ran a vegan restaurant in Amsterdam previously. Cuisine was sympathetic to seasonal produce, made with love, full flavour yet simple and ‘clean’. I had fiore di zucche fried in a light rice flour batter on a bed of aubergine cream finished with wild herbs, followed by gnocchi di patate in crema di zucchine topped with mint and mixed seeds. All vegan and gluten free. Although this is a traditional trattoria so everyone would be happy here. The service was super friendly, kind and prompt. Highly recommended. Complimenti allo Chef!...
Read moreAmazing location with beautiful view. There are several old trees outside, which are not only very nice, but as well creating shadow in the hot day. We ordered focaccia with mortadela. It was good. Would be exceptional if mortadela would be not cold. Tartar was really exceptional. The second was good, however too salty for me . It was faraone and coniglio in porchetta. About service. The start was sad. My partner entered first, I entered after 1 minute. We was waiting for 3- 4 min, there was 3 persons inside, but I had feeling that I am invisible. There was some big celebration on the same time, so I am not against waiting. But the staff at least congratulate new entered should be able. The same for smiles. It feels like we are disturbance. However, the service was saved by amazing waiter Agnese. She really put effort that we feel welcomed and...
Read moreThis was honestly one of the best places I have ever eaten. We went twice earlier this week and on each occasion absolutely everything was on point. Firstly the setting is superb with a warm, intimate, al fresco dining experience and magnificent views of the surrounding area. The staff are very polite and helpful, particularly when recommending dishes/wine. I may run out of superlatives however when describing the food which was sensational. The pasta and pizza is amazing however the “cotoletta alla bolagna” is one of those dishes that tends to come to mind when you think of some of the best things you’ve ever tasted. The local wines are superb as are the digestifs, particularly the local brand of amaro, Amaro Gallo. I would honestly give the place an extra...
