We spent few nights in this lovely bed and breakfast. It is a new B&B reconstructed on the remains of the roman villa. They have a nice restaurant with a lovely terace. We had dinner the first night and the third night, we tried some local dishes, everything was good. We made some excursions to Napoli, Vesuv and Pompei. It's not a short way (aprox 1 h) and you have to be careful if you are not used to the chaotic traffic, but is worth visiting.||They have 3 double rooms and and we booked all three, so we had almoust the Villa for ourselves.||There was a slight smell from the bathroom, maybe the problem with ventiation, so we kept the bathroom door always closed.||Breakfast is served in the breakfast room, where you have a fridge, a microvawe, an expresso coffe machine and a toaster. The breakfast is tipical Italian, composed manly of sweets, but I'm sure that if you ask they can make eggs as well, nextdoor is a fully equiped kitchen.||The traffic on the main road can be noisy, so ask for the room with the view on the fields.||The host is very nice and helpfull.||If we have the opportunity to come to this part of Italy we...

Read moreWow, what a stunning experience. Villa Petrinum is a rare gem. You’ll be staying (or eating, if you only go for dinner) at an actual Roman villa from the second century C.E. The building has been completely revitalized, with all the modern amenities but retaining the ancient charm. The views are incredible—you can feel why the Romans built a villa on this magical spot. The restaurant (open on weekends) offers first class dining and a memorable atmosphere, with the main dining room a restored hall from the villa.
Best of all, the owners are a wonderfully warm, caring, dedicated family who have worked hard to make this a one-of-a-kind experience. From having your own table (with your name on it!) at the sumptuous breakfast (featuring figs from the property) to taking care of your every need, this place has it all. Highly, highly recommended and can’t wait to come back. ...
