Osteria I Rebbi — Restaurant in Monforte d'Alba

I visited this restaurant because of a local friend’s recommendation. We are four people so I thought to make an online reservation but the system asked the credit card number and 40euro per a person charge in the case of the last minutes cancellation or no-show. So, we did not make a reservation and just went to the restaurant directly. The owner lady was very friendly. The outside tables were charming and cool for the summer. The garden area is coved by an excellent big white awning. Slow service. All of us liked pasta which was slightly small portions for its price. Some of us tried the Tartar dish which was about 100g, and it was really tiny portion for 17 euro! We do love the tartar and we already bought some Fassone raw meat from many famous butchers in the area. Basically the local good tartar meat costs 13-20 euro per Kg for private customers. The taste of all dishes we tried in this restaurant was fine but we end up to eating panini after...

I was more than happy for finding this place. If you’re looking for a delicious and original lunch in the Langhe, this is your restaurant. The food is incredibly tasty, perfectly presented and executed. The wine list is also very balanced in quality and budget. Plus we were lucky enough to be at lunch alone since we came rather late (2pm) so we had the full attention of the chef and staff.

Also it’s perfectly placed between little towns like Barolo and Morra, for a perfect wine tasting after lunch. Definitely strongly suggest this restaurant it has an incredible quality...

Alle porte di Monforte, in un casolare con ampia vista sulle splendide colline adornate di vigneti, siamo stati accolti in questo locale dall'ispirazione rustica e moderna allo stesso tempo. Rispettando le attuali normative, e quindi con meno posti a disposizione, al momento della prenotazione telefonica ci è stato chiesto se ci andava bene il tavolo all'ingresso. Non essendoci mai stati, abbiamo accettato a scatola chiusa. Sicuramente per una coppia può essere anche una collocazione tranquilla rispetto alla sala, ma dà comunque un po' la sensazione di essere "in castigo" e, con l'avanzare della stagione fredda, temo che il via-vai degli avventori crei troppe spiacevoli correnti d'aria. Sempre nel rispetto delle norme, il menù è proposto su di un cartellone che viene portato al tavolo. I piatti sono principalmente legati alla tradizione, anche con qualche ricercatezza e qualche proposta non del territorio. Le presentazioni molto allettanti e creative, le porzioni minimal, considerati i prezzi abbastanza elevati. L'equilibrio più corretto quantità/qualità/prezzo lo abbiamo riscontrato nel dolce e nel tagliere di formaggi. Per due antipasti, due primi, una selezione di formaggi, un dolce, due calici di vino, acqua e due caffè (con la moka) abbiamo speso 91€. Il personale è cordiale e disponibile. Il bagno...
