Ristorante Pizzeria OltreMare — Restaurant in Monopoli

We were recommended this restaurant by a local person from Monopoli. The restaurant is just the opposite train station , which is a bit away from more touristic and the busy town centre. After a day trip in Matera , we stopped there for a dinner. Food was freshly made and tasted great. We thanked chef for it. The bill came half of the one we were paying in the town center. Very good value for the money. The ambient is alright. Can not , of course, compete with those ones in the old town, but if you are after a tasty and authentic Italian cuisine nearby the train station, you will not regret it . Your stomach and purse...

We made a reservation as a family to eat inside but despite all the heat they even put us outside (the heat was unbearable). Many other customers complained about the heat and they still served those who were inside first. We waited OVER 3 hours for our food and it never arrived. In the end we decided to leave and they still charged us more than €200, without having eaten anything. Not only was it a waste of our time, but also a disrespectful way to handle your customers. Embarrassing to have the audacity to even ask us to pay, even though we didn't even eat anything since the food never...

Una domenica a pranzo per ore 13.30. facendo salti mortali dalla strada per non fare ritardo, arrivati là alle 13.35. ci accomodiamo tutti, aspettiamo mezz'ora per iniziare a prenotare. La cameriera già si vedeva molto affannata. Arriva il nostro turno. Facciamo un menù fisso di 45€ e Menù baby. Iniziamo a mangiare alle 14.55 dopo che i bambini avevano fame e si sono divorati tutto il pane. Iniziano gli antipasti per i grandi, direi quei pochi antipasti, e l'antipasto baby neanche da lontano lo vedevamo. Finiamo e subito dopo arriva l'antipasto baby( prosciutto e mozzarella). Poi arriva il primo primo direi buono, il secondo primo linguine che sapeva di sugo acro e poi la frittura centrale che direi un 6 é più che sufficiente. Nonostante le nostre lamentele che ancora non arrivava il primo ai bimbi, il freddo inizia a farsi sentire nel gazebo xké il sole era andato via e chiediamo per accensione fungo che avviene sempre dopo una 20 di minuti. Alla fine il titolare viene a scusarsi per l'attesa giustificandosi che era tutto fatto al momento e potremmo crederci, ma con 3 camerieri in tutta la sala piena dove vuoi andare??? Poi alla fine il conto finale e mi fa' pagare l'unico Menù baby a 20€ mangiando solo l antipasto e le orecchiette (lasciate tutte nel piatto) xké arrivate tardi e la bambina si erano riempita di pane, e chiedo perché quel prezzo nonostante non avessi più voluto la cotoletta e patatine. Risposta: il Menù baby 25€ e meno la cotoletta =20€. Non ha saputo neanche fare l'intelligente togliendo quelle 20€ per scusarsi del ritardo ecc... Siamo andati via alle 17.45. quindi si può capire...
