Light, airy, spacious restaurant, well lit, very warm and friendly bilingual staff We were 6 people and enjoyed a delicious dinner. We had an early (6:30) reservation and were seated promptly. Our waiter spoke excellent english, could explain the menu clearly and offer suggestions. The manager Tania, was able to describe the wines very precisely, and offered our wine expert tastes to help him choose. Highly recommend their Spumante. It is delicious and reasonably priced. The courses were nicely spaced out. Everyone was served each course simultaneously, we never had to wait for a late plate to start. The food is delicious, especially the house made pastas. My beef filet was perfectly cooked, rare, and was tender and extremely flavorful. The gnocchi with truffles were perfect and very truffle scented, as was the tagliatelle. The raviolis were stuffed with cheeses and I think the best I have ever tasted. Desserts were a delicious crème brûlée and individual jugs of tiramisu. Portions were on the generous side, we were extremely full at the end. Note the vegetable side dishes are ordered separately, not included on the main course plate as is done in the USA. We would have liked to have tasted them, and will maybe have a vegetarian lunch just for that. Strongly...
Read moreHidden gem in the Tuscan countryside. If you are in the region I strongly advise you to plan a visit to this beautiful restaurant. Ran and owned by a lovely young couple this place truly encapsulates not only traditional tuscan cuisine but more importantly — you can really feel that the food that is prepared with love. The ingredients are fresh and locally sourced and combinations are very well thought through. While visiting the place twice, we have had the absolute pleasure of eating two primi dishes, two secondi dishes and four different desserts. The restaurant not only prides itself in serving delicious food but also produces its own olive oil (spectacular) and at least some of the wines (out of this world) — you cannot miss this delicious opportunity. Wines are also available to purchase to takeaway, which I highly encourage. The staff is very kind, knowledgeable and speaks english very well. The ambiance of the restaurant will not distract you from the fact the most main actor in this theater of cuisine — the Food (capital F very much intended). We will definitely visit again,...
Read moreAt this price class it doesn’t get much better than this. The young female host is extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and also very kind towards our kids. In a general sense you shouldn’t bring your young kids here but the staff made it very welcoming for them anyways, and really made a great connection with them. Their understanding of the English language was a bit limited but not a problem, and if I had to name one thing I would mention one thing, one person of the staff was wearing very informal sloppy jeans where I would expect a bit more of a formal approach. This was easily compensated by the great friendliness though. We took the Tasting Experience, which was very good. Maybe they should offer a range of non alcoholic accompanying drinks with it, as they only offered two local soft drinks as an alternative for their great wines. Lastly, because some of the members of our party didn’t drink alcohol they gave us a few great wines on the house. All in all, absolutely great experience with...
