Dining at La Sala dei Grappoli was nothing short of extraordinary. We arrived with high expectations — and still left in awe. What unfolded was a beautifully curated journey through the very best of Tuscan cuisine and hospitality.The food was exceptional — refined yet soulful, deeply rooted in local tradition, and presented on plates that looked like artwork. Every dish was a balance of creativity and respect for ingredients, with an eye for detail that elevated the entire experience.The wine pairing was world-class. We had the rare chance to compare three different Brunellos, each with its own character and story, guided expertly by a team that clearly lives and breathes wine. The surprise standout? A stunning Chardonnay — elegant, vibrant, and perfectly matched to the first courses.We were especially fortunate to be looked after by a Portuguese waiter. He was warm, knowledgeable, and effortlessly professional, bringing both charm and depth to the evening. Quite disappointing experience The taste of every dish was not even close to where a one Michelin star place should be at. At best it was an average taste. The service was also not where a Michelin star restaurant needs to be at. Not very friendly, very inexperienced and on top that night it took forever to get the courses. Last but not least, despite knowing that the restaurant is at Banfi, I was quite disappointed to be served only Banfi wines. I think a place like this should either be a real high end restaurant and as such they should be confident enough to also serve other wines, or they just see this as a Banfi experience. Since it was short after reopening, they all might have been a little rusty but unfortunately I will not...
