What a wonderful experience. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Belvedere: staff were absolutely lovely, our room very clean with nice balcony and fantastic view of the valley across the Apennines mountains, and the hotel was nicely located in the main piazza and close to many attractions. The breakfast will satisfy most people and there is lots of fresh coffee. Outside parking is free, but space is quite limited, however staff at the hotel is always at hand to help with any enquiry. In fact, a notable feature of our experience at the hotel was that when we got to Montese, unfortunately we found the local WW2 museum closed for the week, but Mrs. Lucchi (the manager) and her assistant, Miss Oana, where absolutely wonderful (one of the best service and most helpful hosts in Italy) – they were extremely helpful and organized the key for the museum and a local WW2 historian, Mr. Walter Bellisi (another wonderful person), who helped with my research around the ‘Gothic Line’ sites around Montese, Iola, Gaggio Montano, and most famously Monte Castello, which was taken by the Fifth Army’s Brazilian contingent (a curiosity to the Germans, who constantly probed their front) in February 1945; these places offered extraordinary accounts of the final year of the Italian campaign. We would happily return to Montese and, in particular, the Hotel Belvedere, as both are lovely places to visit and relax… something...

Be careful, you need weeks and weeks of gymn after spending one or two nights here.||||We are coming back there year after year from 2010, because April 25 they have a special celebration about Italy World War II Liberation. Albergo Belvedere will be our "HQ" every year, because Silvana and his team make the best for us.||||And will be the same for you. And if you need to stay for the night, no problem, the hotel is very very comfortable and well situated. "Happy hour" with white wine outside, with little tables and cheese, will invite you to stay and understand a little bit better the History about Brazilian people in the World War II.||||Perfect place to rest, to eat, to drink. Nice people, wonderful food and wine, and you can go anywhere around not spendind a...
Read moreOur Montese cousin (the famous Walter from the other reviews) helped us garner a reservation here at the Hotel Belvedere. We were only staying one night on our journey, but found the Belvedere to be a lovely stop! ||It is located on the main piazza (where we lucked into the "market" on our morning of departure), and the rooms facing the side street had a lovely view of the Apennines! What a fabulous sunset we got to witness from our balconies.||The rooms were larger than we expected for the Italian countryside, and we were able to sleep well to prepare for the rest of our journey. ||We dined for dinner at the restaurant and were VERY happy with the quality of the food and the service. Breakfast the next morning was also plentiful, and there was always a chance to grab a drink or nosh when you needed one. ||When we return to Montese this next year, we will stay longer at the Belvedere to enjoy the areas surrounding this lovely...
