Pizzeria Trattoria Cygnus — Restaurant in Monzambano

Great food, great staff, good location.

Situated along the river, we had an obstructed but pleasant view of the water (were hoping for closer to the river). But the best part of the experience was the incredible service and food.

Ricardo was like a Michelin waiter with his thorough explanations and professional demeanor (all in English). The other 3 servers were excellent as well, creating a relaxing but attentive experience.

The house white wine was sparkling, so we had the dry white Ricardo suggested, and it was excellent.

The pumpkin pasta and pasta with mushrooms were both amazing, as was the bruschetta Ricardo suggested. The bread was light and flaky, and the toppings were fresh and incredible (probably the best part of the meal). Although, the panna cotta with both chocolate and caramel was amazing too.

It should be noted that if we were just handed English menus and had our order taken, we would have missed out on most of what made this meal so special.

Plus, they had ceiling fans! It was really comfortable considering it was 90F that evening.

Road traffic was a concern, but it wasn't busy or loud that evening. The restaurant also had soft, subtle music that helped.

Overall, just an incredible evening - largely thanks to the staff. World...

Siamo venuti appositamente da Verona per usufruire del menù fisso in quanto c’è stato consigliato come rapporto qualità-prezzo da amici e parenti. Peccato che oggi ci siamo sentiti presi in giro in quanto il cameriere ha cercato palesemente di fare leva sul menù a là carte cercando di rinfilarci scuse confuse come ad esempio “è solo per aziende convenzionate” o che alle 13:20, ovvero quando abbiamo varcato la soglia del ristorante, “ il menu fisso è solo fino alle 13:15” cosa che non ci è stato riferito da nessuno e benché meno al momento della prenotazione. Nel momento in cui ho espresso il mio parere contrariato riguardo a tutto questo è andato a chiedere in cucina ma ovviamente la risposta è stata “non è rimasto molto”, così non lasciandoci altra scelta se non ordinare dal menù a là carte. Scommetto perché eravamo due ragazzi giovani non vestiti da operai o quant’altro ed è stato uno squallido tentativo di spillarci più soldi. Siamo voluti rimanere solo perché il mio compagno aveva troppa fame per cercare un altro posto. Spero ne sia valsa la pena di avere guadagnato 10€ in più oggi perché in futuro non saremo più vostri clienti né noi, né i nostri amici/famigliari. Ho messo 2 sul cibo perché in tutto questo abbiamo anche trovato un bel pezzo di plastica nei tortellini del mio compagno che non abbiamo segnalato per non tornare a discutere. Visited the place on this Easter Sunday. Surprisingly we got the seat. They have a good parking area in front, and the outside was but chill. Inside was super noisy with full of crowds. The Pizza was very good, and was quick. Had a fantastic treat with desserts, with a final touch of coffee. Definitely a must visit when around here. Do make a visit and enjoy...
