Ristorante Olfino "dalle Angeline” — Restaurant in Monzambano

During my two weeks trip with my girlfriend at north Italy we ate in many restaurants, some of them due to the michelins guide reccomandarions. This restaurant was definitely the best of them all, and by far. We went to the restaurant twice (its not something we usually do) and it ruined all other restaurants for us since we compared them to this one. You must try the buffalo mozzarella (fresh from the farm near by), the ragu and the pumpkin tortellini - which was the best...

Very friendly and competent stuff. Nice location. But the food... - chicken dry, beef dry, salad mix looks and tastes like plastic (only tomatoes were acceptable). Fries tasted like they were waiting for us at least few hours and then warmed...

Ristorante "classico" sulle colline moreniche. Nonostante sia sulla strada, il giardino e la siepe mantengono la veranda ben riparata dal traffico (che comunque non è tantissimo). Il menù è semplice, con piatti tradizionali della zona che potrebbero essere quelli cucinati a casa, senza "fronzoli" o accostamenti azzardati. Buono quello che abbiamo mangiato. Solo un appunto per l'antipasto "salame e gorgonzola con polenta": adeguata la quantità di salame, un po' meno la cucchiaiata di gorgonzola e soprattutto le 4 strisciette di polenta calda che messe assieme fanno a malapena una fetta.
