Alle Vecchie Province — Restaurant in Mossa

My wife and I first had lunch here one autumn many years ago following a recommendation from a local cantina we had visited. We dropped in on spec, without booking, and were found a table... inside as the weather had turned cold. It was informal rustic and cosy. We were so impressed by the food... dishes typical of the area... the ambience and excellent good humoured service, that the next time we were in the area... must have been 15 years later, in 2018... I called them and booked a table. I told them my wife was a seafood-loving vegetarian and the response was "no problem". On that warm day we were seated outside in orchard-like surroundings with other diners scattered around and one or two freindly chickens pecking at the grass. We were offered no menu... as is often the norm in Italian country Trattorie... and the food began to arrive. It was course after multiple course of the most delectable fish and seafood dishes you could imagine. It never seemed to stop and we were giggling like school-kids at our good fortune. Just before we though we might explode from eating so much wonderful food, and we had drunk an immodest quantity of the excellent house white, the desert course eventually arrived which was plums inside a kind of dumpling... typical of the area... and that too was wonderful. Two coffees finished off the meal and when the bill came I was ashamed at how inexpensive it was. If we can find no other excuse to come back to the Cormons area, this little Osteria is reason enough....

"dal Mic" è semplicemente un ristorante fantastico. Sono 20 anni che ci torno (non troppo spesso anche perche bisogna prenotare parecchio in anticipo=)...Prima da studente con amici, poi in coppia e ora con la famiglia e i bambini e altri amici a cui voglio far conoscere questa osteria/ristorante veramente speciale. Posto oserei dire quasi unico...Fidatevi della proposta di assaggini (tutto buonissimo). Vino della casa degno delle pietanze proposte...Anche i dolci buonissimi e il servizio super cordiale ma professionale. Scrivo questa recensione non per un pranzo ma decine di visite dal 2002 fino ad oggi. Sempre top! In primavera e d'estate, stare fuori all'ombra dell'albero gigante e vedere i bambini giocare nel giardino non ha prezzo. A proposito dei prezzi - veramente un ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Bravi bravi...

Da anni una certezza di qualità, con un'interpretazione originale ma rispettosa della cucina locale. Oggi mi sono fermato per un pasto veloce e mi hanno proposto degli zlikrofi (ravioli di patate ed erbe) con sugo di arrosto accompagnati da costicine di maiale stufate.I ravioli erano molto piacevoli, le erbe del ripieno si sposavano benissimo con il sugo dell'arrosto, mentre le costocine si disfavano in bocca senza essere grasse: insomma, un piatto squisito. Inoltre, mentre aspettavo che mi preparassero gli zlikrofi, il cuoco ha voluto offrirmi una mezza porzione decisamente abbondante di ottime penne con sugo di selvaggina, che comprendevano anche dei genorosi pezzi di cinghiale stufato. Acqua e caffè per un totale di 16€. Prezzo onestissimo per un pranzo...
