We had been highly recommended Del Gusto by many locals and they were on the money. After a month of travelling through southern Italy, the menu here was a delight. Creative, delicious and very affordable.
We enjoyed their business lunch (€17 as of Nov 2024) which was either an antipasti/entree, primi/pasta and coffee or entree secondi/main, water and coffee. Corperto included.
The antipasti were sooo good. The polpette/meatballs were meaty but still light. The eggplant parmigiana super flavorful. We both got pastas and the servings were generous. Even the bread was fantastic! We don't often eat the bread served with meals but in this case we finished the whole bag 😂
The bathrooms were super clean and it was great to see the women's was disabled-access friendly and had a baby change table.
Carmelo, the chef/owner spoke great English and was very friendly. The kitchen looked absolutely spotless (loved that you could also see into it, to see the action!) Meanwhile, I was eating the food representation of the book. Wow. Mussomeli is my ancestral town and never fails to bring the magic. if you are in Sicilia, be sure to stop and see...

The atmosphere is stylish yet simple, creating a relaxed and welcoming vibe. The staff are incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in.
Although our trip to Mussomeli has come to an end, this restaurant will remain one of our fondest memories. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the area—Officina Del Gusto is a...
