What an amazing experience! This is by far, the best meal we have had during our 5-week trip
As we first entered the restaurant, we felt so welcomed!
The restaurant had a great menu and excellent wine list. Then the views from our table of the fields of vineyards below added a great ambiance
We began with a “Italian style lasagne taste” for our appetizer.” Such a fun taste of styles. Then For my main dish, I chose the “Spaghettoni with clams, Piedmontese carpione beurre blanc sauce.” My husband chose the “Plin: traditional ravioli served into the napkins, veal consommé.”
Before our foods came, we were treated to a super yummy warm small pretzel with a tiny dipping bowl of butter and then a little “puff” pastry that absolutely melted in our mouths.
Our meals were excellent - both with great unique flavors! The pastas were freshly made and were so wonderfully delicate.
During our meal, Chef Otto, came by our table to share information on our selections and both he and Elisa were there to insure our meals exceeded expectations.
Additionally, the staff, Gaia, was an excellent addition and again was available to make this a special experience
We finished our meal with an expression and again a little surprise was deliver to the table - little miniature desserts to enjoy with our expresso
We just can’t wait to return! By far, the best meal we have had during our...
Read moreYou know.. There can only a few things that can be said. This is a master piece in Piedmont. Chef Lucca not only is from northern Langhe and Borolo district but is a chef in one’s own right. From Service to selection of wine pairings and the menu is just hard to explain the level that one experiences. Problem is once you eat here and if you do , it will be very very difficult to eat even in other places rated close to Langotto. Bravo . The view and chefs presentation of what was on menu of the day was exactly what one dreams of when they come to see Alba, Borolo, La Mora .. The Piedmont. Don’t miss Plin Ravioli, Slow Stewed Beef, Foix Gras Ravioli, Seabass .. too many to describe and the selection of local sheep and goat cheeses with magnificent pairing of Barbaresco with lighter choices and Barolo with slower stewed beef. Bravo again to Chef Lucca! This is...
Read moreThis was one of our best meals so far in the region. The menu is an Italian & French fusion. The dishes have all of the rustic qualities that make Italian food delicious and special but with the refinement you find in French cuisine. The flavors were incredible and the quality was outstanding especially at that price. The meal was only complimented even more by the impeccable service. You can see the chef's true passion in his restaurant as he comes out to greet the guests and talk about the meal. The server recommended a delicious wine that went perfect with our dinner. I think it's very important to support a restaurant that cares about their diners' experience as much as Langotto Ristorante does. This is a must visit place if you are in the...
