Il Gallo nel Pozzo is situated right on Panicale's beautiful main square, with a small indoor dining area and a bigger outside one. The menu does not include a very ample list but it offers a fair choice of dishes, mainly inspired by the local cuisine and specialties. The quality of food is good but it seems the restaurant is putting lots of efforts on the presentation and narrative of its cuisine, therefore raising the expectations of the customers to a level that the actual food somehow struggles to reach, also considering that the prices are quite above the average for this kind of restaurants....

In’esperienza autentica e indimenticabile nel cuore di Panicale! Abbiamo avuto il piacere di cenare a Il Gallo nel Pozzo e possiamo dire senza esitazioni che è stato uno dei momenti più belli del nostro soggiorno in Umbria.

Simone è un oste straordinario: accogliente, attento e appassionato, sa creare un’atmosfera calorosa e familiare fin dal primo momento. Conosce perfettamente il territorio, i vini locali e i prodotti della zona, e sa raccontarli con entusiasmo e competenza. È raro trovare qualcuno così genuinamente coinvolto nel far sentire ogni ospite speciale.

In cucina, Lorena è una vera artista. Le sue preparazioni, frutto di una tecnica raffinata e di una grande sensibilità per la materia prima, si distinguono per delicatezza e profondità di sapori. In particolare, la sua predilezione per la cottura a bassa temperatura dà vita a piatti sorprendenti: carni morbidissime, sapori equilibrati e consistenze perfette. Ogni portata è curata con amore e rispetto per la tradizione, ma con un tocco personale che la rende unica.

Il locale è intimo e suggestivo, con una bellissima vista sul borgo e un’atmosfera che invita a rilassarsi e godersi ogni momento.
