Trattoria da Pina — Restaurant in Pantelleria

Just visited the place for a lunch being family with one kid. Would like to admit that the recommendations of the waiter who takes the order was quite good and generally food was good as well. The only down side is the fact that the chef seems doesn't use salt at all, really nowhere. Also the tar-tar of chernia fish had to thick cut and not properly balanced. For this I gave only 4 stars. Regarding the service and drinks our experience was awful. The staff has no experience or desire to deliver appropriate customer service apart the waiter who took our order. At the beginning they brought warm white wine and even after being asked to cool it down they brought the same one back. Such a shame because the wine itself is very good. But the worst was a Mohito cocktail which had no sugar at all, it was extremely acid and they were not able to rectify it. I mean come one everyone knows how to make Mohito!!! At the and of the lunch even spending more than expected for this kind of service no treats or shots have been offered as in another place. During the service no one asked us if we would like to have a drink so we stayed not for long time as felt luck of attention.

Siamo stati ospiti a pranzo qui giusto ieri 17 settembre io e il mio compagno, ed è stato subito amore a prima vista: il ristorante si trova proprio a ridosso del lago con molti tavolini all'aperto. Siamo stati accolti cordialmente e ci hanno sistemati, nonostante non avessimo prenotato, al tavolo migliore, vista lago. Quando viaggio, mi piace assaggiare i prodotti di punta del luogo, e sorprendemente il menù li comprendeva quasi tutti! La comanda si è composta quindi di: Ciaki Ciuka diviso, ravioli ricotta e mentuccia, busiate al pesto pantesco, ricciola ai ferri, insalata pantesca, patate al forno, bacio pantesco, zibibbo della casa. Ogni portata è stata un "wow!" dietro l'altro, a partire dal servizio gentile e disponibile, non troppo lento, ma neanche veloce dove ti arrivano i piatti sotto il naso e non hai neanche il tempo di respirare: la ciaki ciuka servita nel coccio era gustosa, i ravioli ricotta e mentuccia (5 ravioli cicciotti) molto delicati con un sugo di pomodoro e basilico semplicissimo leggero ma profumato, dolce e gustoso, le busiate semplicemente spaziali, abbondanti, belle da guardare e da leccarsi i baffi e il piatto! Insalata pantesca preparata con amore e di bella presenza, patate al forno buone e ricciola da volare via, cotta perfettamente morbida e succosa. Bacio pantesco gustoso con ricotta fresca dentro che dava uno slancio alla chiusura del pranzo e il passito praticamente un nettare degli dei: denso, profumato, dolce ma non stopposo. Praticamente, un viaggio nella tradizione pantesca con prezzi leggermente sotto la media (per tutto il ben di Dio descritto+caffè e acqua, 85€ di spesa, e ci siamo alzati ben sazi ma non appesantiti), quindi regolarmente costoso come ogni posto dell'isola che gode di un punto turistico ampiamente battuto, da cui ne siamo usciti inebriati e sorridenti. Unica nota a sfavore, ma si tratta di gusto mio personale totalmente opinabile: forse in generale c'era un po' troppo olio, ma sicuramente ci tornerei tutti i giorni, vale davvero tutte le 5 stelle, i ragazzi sono carini e disponibili, e si meritano una valanga di clienti!! Fun fact: arrivati mentre casualmente in radio c'era "Stairway ti Heaven", quasi una promessa che ci avrebbero portato nel paradiso della cucina pantesca, totalmente rispettata. Consigliatissimo!!! I was here in this restaurant and the staff is VERY IGNORANT !!!!! Two times we went there. One time they have only salad because it was only 6 and they open at 7 with food. We ordered lemon freezy amd coffee. Next time we went there same time one girl started to serve lemon frezze drink amd the owner or some smart guy came and he took out the full glass of drinks from the waitress and he said no no service untill 7 !!! They have arrigant rude costumer skills they dont care about tourist or anybody who does not talk Italian !! Mostlikly all island is same !!!
