Masseria Ruri Pulcra — Restaurant in Patù

We discoverd Ruri Pulcra Masseria last year and liked it so much that we went way out of our way to make a return visit this year. My wife in particular likes the food preparation of Rino the chef. Even for breakfast he presents a stunning table of delicious food. Unfortunately for September of 2014 the dining room was closed and Rino was preparing meals at another restaurant that they own 800 metres away.||||We were able to get our same room on the first floor which opens up to a large patio with umbrella and clothes dryer. ||The Masseria is only a few years old, so everything is very new and in excellent condition.|| The farm is surrounded by olive groves and there is a nice back road that you can walk along. One of our favourite beaches (Pescaluse) is just 10 minutes away.||Wifi is free with excellent signal strength. We hope to return again some time...

I love the authenticity, warmth, kindness and atmosphere at this old-world family Masseria-full of real Salento flavor, so I’ve returned to stay several days for the second time. I also love the excellent food in its elegant restaurant that is a favorite with locals for celebrating important life-moments. The seafood is especially delicious. There is no pool but who needs a pool when the crystal Salento Sea is on the doorstep! The rooms I’ve stayed in have both been spacious and comfortable without any of the now-ubiquitous trendy factor. I have a big, stone terrace with a view to the sea. Breakfast is generous, Italian style with fresh-pressed juices and freshly- baked local pastries.
