We decided to visit the ""Ristorante il Parnaso" after a research on Google Maps about restaurants in the area where it would have been possible to enjoy the typical local cuisine from Cilento (known in Italian as the cucina Cilentana). It was a Thursday evening and we were the solely guests but this isn't to be taken as a negative aspect being it a type of Restaurant where you "have to go". It isn't located in a crowded place or along a road busy with traffic. You need to drive, climbing the hills and really get to the place. Having said that, we got the chance to be accommodated at a table on the terrace and, being both my wife and I slightly overweight, the owner was super nice in sweetly invite the waiter to provide for us two more comfortable chairs. Being the weather nice we were blessed by a beautiful view as per shared picture. The owner, who was taking the orders and acting as the Maitre, was very accurate in helping us through our choice from the menu. According to our initial selection he suggested a combination of the service flow, postponing the delivery of one of the apetizer we choose as per his experience it would have been perfect as a side dish for the main course that I choose. In relation to the main courses the explanation was concise and oriented to let us know what we were going to get beyond the simple indications printed on the menu. It was very nice to realized that the idea behind the offer available is all based on what the territory is offering and is presented in a super discrete way. While dining we had the perception of effectively having a local Zero KM food experience, not only because of the delicious flavour but also for the way the food was cooked. Talking for example about the vegetables of the "Sinfonia di Verdure" we could really feel having a superb homemade dish cooked using what was coming from the garden. And then the Dessert. "The Cannoli Cilentani". Too often when it comes to "Cannoli" the mind goes to those prepared with the "ricotta cheese filling". In this case we were before a completely different type of preparation. With a freshly made cream with Oranges and Lemon. The invitation is to go there and try it. We are looking forward to the next trip in the area to visit again.

Costantino, the owner of this fantastic restaurant, is a wonderful host with a good sense of humor! We had a very delicious lunch with sophisticated spices and Cilento red wine of the region. Costantino's wife prepared the delightful food - congratulations! Il Parnaso is located in a stunning spot overlooking Castellabate Borgo and the sea. The view is breathtaking! I can highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return the next time I am on vacation in Castellabate.

Motivato dalla voglia di mangiare cucina tipica cilentana rifuggendo dai ristoranti costieri, ho voluto recarmi su a Castellabate incuriosito dalle recensioni di questo bellissimo ristorante. Innanzitutto il ristorante è ampio, arredato bene e ha una terrazza che offre una vista su Castellabate e il mare. Siamo stati accolti dal proprietario Costantino, che con la sua simpatia e affabilità ci ha intrattenuto dandoci consigli su cosa mangiare. Abbiamo optato per le polpette di melanzane eccellenti e per il tris di verdure ugualmente eccezionali. Ci ha consigliato poi i primi con la pasta fresca fatta dalla moglie e abbiamo scelto i fusilli al ragù cilentano e i tonnarelli alici e pomodoro, entrambi buonissimi. Per secondo abbiamo provato la salsiccia arrosto con le patate mantagliate, il tutto innaffiato con dell'ottimo vino aglianico. Il conto giustissimo in relazione alla qualità e quantità del cibo offerto. Ho apprezzato molto il menù, sia la grafica che i messaggi veicolati: avvisi ai genitori di bambini ma soprattutto la volontà ferma e precisa di servire la vera cucina cilentana, bandendo tutte le contaminazioni (come si può leggere dalla foto al menù) Concludendo, consiglio fortemente a chi è appassionato di tradizione culinaria, di vivere questa bellissima esperienza. Attenzione alle indicazioni del navigatore perché molto spesso indica una strada sterrata da non percorrere in nessun modo.

Zum Restaurant und zum Essen: 5 Sterne von uns ! Das Il Parnaso ist ein rein cilentanisches Restaurant mit bester regionaler Küche. Wir aßen dort aufgrund unserer Begeisterung mehrmals sehr genussvoll in Folge köstliche Antipasti oder Vorspeisen, Hauptgänge und wenn es noch reinpasste, ein leckeres und hausgemachtes Dessert, tranken sehr gute Weine, gutes Wasser und waren mit allem sehr zufrieden. Alle von uns verzehrten Speisen waren nach unserem Geschmack absolut frisch und liebevoll zubereitet worden. Das Restaurant bietet zudem schönste Ausblicke auf die traumhafte Landschaft, das Meer, Castellabate und natürlich auf romantische Sonnenuntergänge. Wenn es in den Abendstunden kühl wird, windig oder regnerisch sein sollte, bieten Panorama-Fenster vom inneren des Lokals den schönen Ausblick auf das Herz des Cilento. Das Restaurant bietet innen und außen immer einen schönen Platz. Im Hintergrund lief sehr angenehme Lounge-Musik. Die Tischdecken und die Servietten sind aus Stoff. Das Restaurant ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber.

Restaurant-Service: 5 Sterne! Der Service ist hervorragend; wir wurden sehr freundlich, mehrsprachig (IT, EN und sogar ein wenig DE) und kompetent bedient. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl, da wir mit bestem Anstand sowie sehr freundlich bedient wurden.

Zum Essen: 5 Sterne! Es gibt sehr kompetente Empfehlungen und Erklärungen vom Chef zum Essen und für passende Getränke, wenn man dies wünschen sollte. Ansonsten lässt die regionale Küche über die Speisekarte sehr wenig Wünsche offen. Unseren Geschmack hat es jedenfalls voll getroffen. Wir haben verschiedene Antipasti, Vorspeisen, Hauptgänge und Desserts genossen. Die Portionen sind verhältnismäßig groß.

Parken: 5 Sterne! Restaurant-Parkplätze (nahezu ebenerdig) sind direkt neben dem Lokal vorhanden und auch für ältere Menschen oder für Menschen mit Behinderung problemlos vom Parkplatz aus zu erreichen.
