We visited this restaurant for lunch on our way back from a visit to the Roman villa. We chose this eatery for 2 reasons: 1) the positive reviews on the web, and 2) its close proximity to where we were at that time.

Before you even enter the restaurant, you're likely to be naturally drawn towards this place. Its setting and surroundings are similar to movie scenes: a simple, rustic building surrounded by fields and hills.

We had pasta and dessert. As you can see from the photo of my pasta with lamb ragu', the portions are quite generous. The others had linguine with pesto - which was also excellent, and our daughter had pasta with pork ragu'. I'm allergic to pork, so I didn't taste it, but the other members of the group said that it was also very nice.

We all had the semi freddo ice cream (some had chocolate, others had almond). I opted for the latter. Both were really good. Not very sweet and just the right size: not too big to be sickly, and not too small to leave you yearning for more. I highly recommend that you...

Nice “homestyle” restaurant, very close to Villa del Casale. We ate here after the visit and had a great experience, all the dishes were traditional and prepared with ingredients from the area. I had gnocchetti alla norma and a caprese and tasted a bit of beef and I especially loved the homemade gnocchetti. Also got cannoli at the end and they were the freshest possible. I am from this area and I know very well the cuisine and the ingredients and I can assure that this is as authentic as it gets. If you’re from abroad and want a taste of authentic cuisine from the “entroterra siciliana” at a reasonable price, look no more. Grazie mille ai gestori per l’incredibile cortesia dimostrata a seguito di un piccolo disguido, avete dimostrato grande professionalità e disponibilità! E il cannolo alla fine...

An excellent restaurant off the road of Piazza Armerina. Choice is quite limited but can cater for all limitations. The bread was like cake, the antipasto platter consisted of cheeses which were really good, green beans, spinach, stuffed tomatoe, pimentos, zucchini and aubergines all prepared as per local traditions. We were 6 and between us we took rabbit prepared so tenderly in a unique sauce, the pork chops were divine, all washed with a caraffe of wine and a freshly prepared lemon juice just picked from their orchard. Dessert was also heavenly. We had the pastine alla mandorle, cannolo Di Sicily, gelato alla pistachio, sorbet Di limone fresco. Highly recommended Seating on a terrace surrounded by loads of trees.highly...

The food, service and warm welcome we received today was just exceptional. I told my waiter to thank the chef for me and a few seconds later chef Maria was at my table ! And a moment later I was in the kitchen meeting the owner Signora Fiorella!! I was so impressed by what I saw and as a son of a restauranteur I have been in many kitchens! Try the rabbit you will not be disappointed. Thank you, I look forward to visiting again.

We stopped here for a very light lunch after touring Villa Romana and our lunch was excellent. We shared a plate of pasta and a plate of cheese and olives and it was a perfect amount of delicious food to carry us over until dinner. Service was very friendly, even though our order was so modest.
