L'Osteria di Angelo — Restaurant in Pieve a Nievole

We had a lovely meal at the L’Osteria di Angelo - a hidden gem in Tuscany. The restaurant is an extension of the butchers and this shows in the incredibly fresh meat and other produce they’ve to offer. From the start, we had a very warm welcome from our server, who took the time explain the specials of the day in every course. We had the truffle anchovies and anchovies bruschetta which was delicious followed by grilled chicken and pork, and a rosemary steak for my partner, both of which were cooked to perfection and accompanied by fresh side dishes. We finished with a mascarpone dessert and excellent decaf coffee. Whilst the quality and freshness of the local Tuscan produce was excellent, the exceptional service stood out for me here - we felt very welcome in a warm family run environment!
