La peggior esperienza delle nostre vacanze in Italia. Al ristorante PUIN, appena arrivati ho chiesto un tavolo: la cameriera ha finto di non sentirmi e solo un altro cameriere ci ha fatto accomodare. Alle 20:00 abbiamo ordinato spaghetti al pomodoro per i bambini abbiamo aspettato più di un’ora, ricordandolo più volte, ma la cameriera si è comportata come se non esistessimo. Nessuna scusa, nessun minimo interesse. Quando le ho detto che ero molto delusa, ha risposto solo “ok” e ha persino riso. Gli spaghetti non sono mai arrivati. Abbiamo pagato vino, acqua, polpo… e persino il coperto per un servizio inesistente. Probabilmente siamo stati trattati così perché non eravamo italiani anche altri stranieri accanto a noi hanno ricevuto lo stesso trattamento. Questa cameriera dovrebbe avere un serio colloquio con il manager: così non si fa. Non capisco come possano avere un punteggio di 4,7 su Google. Una vergogna per la ristorazione italiana.
The worst experience of our Italian holiday. At PUIN restaurant, upon arrival I asked for a table the waitress pretended not to hear me, and only another waiter seated us. At 8:00 PM we ordered spaghetti pomodoro for the kids we waited over an hour, reminding her several times, but she acted as if we didn’t exist. No apology, no sign of care. When I said I was very disappointed, she just said “ok” and even laughed. The spaghetti never arrived. We paid for wine, water, octopus… and even a cover charge for non-existent service. We were probably treated this way because we weren’t Italian and foreign guests next to us had the same experience. This waitress should have a serious talk with the manager this is not how you treat customers. I have no idea how this place has a 4.7 rating on Google. A true shame for an Italian restaurant.

Il polpo era per una sola persona, e gli spaghetti al pomodoro per i bambini, ordinati insieme, non sono mai arrivati nonostante numerosi solleciti. Il coperto è giustificato se si mangia davvero a quel tavolo – invece i bambini sono usciti a stomaco vuoto. Al nostro arrivo c’erano molti tavoli liberi, quindi l’argomento della mancata prenotazione non ha senso. Mancanza totale di riflessione, di rispetto per il cliente e di volontà di rimediare – solo una risposta sgarbata e nessuna scusa. Forse i futuri ospiti giudicheranno da soli e magari un giorno imparerete a trattare i clienti. Abbiamo speso quasi 30 € – e con questo atteggiamento è già una fortuna per voi. Vergognatevi.
The octopus was for one person, and the spaghetti pomodoro for the kids, ordered at the same time, never arrived despite multiple reminders. A cover charge is justified if you actually eat at the table – instead, the kids left with empty stomachs. When we arrived there were plenty of free tables, so the no-reservation excuse makes no sense. A complete lack of reflection, respect for the customer, or willingness to make things right – just a rude reply and no apology. Perhaps future guests will judge for themselves, and maybe one day you’ll learn how to treat customers. We spent almost €30 – and with this attitude, that’s already lucky for you....

Our stay was also quite outside the 5 main villages and was only accessible by car. But when you have this flexibility you can visit some of these restaurants in the middle of nowhere but are filled with local people and tourists alike. This was one such place where the food was reasonably priced and equally delicious. Also the owners and the service were amazing. We kept coming back to this place for dinner every night. Definitely recommended is the House wine which is an absolute steal for 1/2 liter for 10 euros. Owner is super friendly and attentive, he had full terrace and was able to manage everything. House wine is a blast for that price and everything we ate was in 10-12€ range and it was awesome.
