Restaurant Antico Crotto — Restaurant in Porlezza

Really loved staying here! Studio apartment was spacious, well-equipped with TV, WiFi, kitchenette, fridge with freezer box, a dedicated terrace and a decent bathroom. The owners/managers were fantastic, happy to help & not charging the resort rates of other places we visited in the area for drinks. Sadly the restaurant wasn't open but we knew this as it's closed on Mondays; the only other gripe was that the pool was nice but it would quickly get filled with bugs that wanted to swim with us - probably not something that can be helped since it's outdoors in the Alpine lakes, but something to be aware of.

The issues were small so not really something we would complain about. There is a campsite across the road which gives you access to the stony shires of Lake Lugano and you can walk from there to the main road into town, about an hour's walk if you're up to it. The town of Porlezza has a couple of nice restaurants and bars as well as supermarkets & clothes shops if you need to grab some things; a great location overall!

Wow what an amazing location! It overlooks Lake Lugano and its so quiet and beautiful. The owners were really nice and always happy to see me as well as help me when needed. The room was nice and spacious. Had a little kitchenette with a basin and stove. There was a fridge and a mocha (espresso pot) to make coffee when you want to. But you will need to bring your own supplies. There is a grocery store like 2 minutes drive which has everything you need! I am definitely going back there again.
