I came to your restaurant with my family Wednesday Aug 27 2025. There were 5 of us. We were told that if we returned at 9 we could wait for a table. We did so. We were seated by about 930. We were given menus. I have read your website where it says that your patrons are treated like family. We received no greeting or kind words. A server simply pointed to our table down the stairs. We sat down and waited a long time for menus and drinks. We had been told your restaurant was excellent - so good that we spent two nights trying to get in! But our experience was of waitress’s making fun of us - for example when we tried to get her attention as her back was turned she winced and rolled her eyes prior to turning our way. My daughter sitting at the end of the table could see her face. We also witness you treating the “locals” with such kindness. We finally received are appetizers…they were not good. The bruschetta was plain tomatoes and olive oil on hard bread. We could not eat it. The calamari and fries were subpar. After an hour the food came. My grand daughter had ordered pasta with butter and Parmesan. It was cold with a lump of butter on top and the Parmesan cheese in a plastic bag like one would expect at a take away restaurant. My grilled vegetables were cold. The linguini with fish just tastes like salt with hard noodles. We tried to explain our frustrations. And the waitress was so very rude, it was unbelievable. To be treated like this. And then they all said bye bye to us and pulled up our plates. So we thought they were telling us to leave. But then They came after us yelling rude remarks and told us we had to pay for what we had eaten! We returned and paid for what we had eaten. We came along way to enjoy Elba. However our treatment by your staff was the worse experience we had had by Italians. You should be ashamed to have your patrons treated like this. We are sorry that we are anything at your restaurant. We paid 70 euros for an experience that...
Read moreLet’s just say that I like simple but good food. I have been to Italy many times and due to my spanish background I know about fish and food. This restaurant has the worst quality food. They use the same tomato sauce for 90% of their dishes. The mussels are tiny small (only shell), the calamari frozen and cover on a thick layer of flower and oil. The risotto is not made with risotto rice but parboiled long rice. It was disgusting. Again same sauce as the mussels and the pasta....I tried telling the waiter about the risotto and she pretended not to understand. No waiter came to me afterwards or tried to find out what happened. In the end I talked very calmly to the owner who showed no interest in out complained and did not agree on my feedback. On the contrary she screamed at me and basically brought us the bill. In a nutshell....I believe the restaurant will continue to have many clients because the island is packed and the location is beautiful but you have the choice as a client: good vs bad food. It...
Read moreWas highly recommended by a local we met. The view was beautiful and the only charming thing about it. The staff barely greeted you and were rude and dismissive if you did not speak Italian. Multiple staff muttered Americano and laughed at us. We tried to order and the first server said I don’t understand and went to get someone else. We waited for them and tried to order. One has very specific food requirements and asked for pasta with butter and Parmesan cheese. When it came it was cold and had a giant blob of butter in it and a prepackaged pouch of cheese that was basically thrown on the table. The experience only got worse. The servers laughed at us with other tables and when asked for different cheese the server yelled at us. Our mains were either cold or super salty and when we complained they grabbed the dishes and cutlery and yelled bye bye at us. Don’t waste your...
