Panevino — Restaurant in Premia

Good vibes!

I don't know why it is called Panevino because I understood they were mainly serving beers (huge choice of excellent beers!). We were very thirsty and ordered several times.

And two days later we stopped there again, now for dinner time, enjoying melanzana cream, Swiss Rösti and a Walser dish (the name of which I cannot remember).

If you look for something different, this premise may be the right place, both in terms of drinking and eating. We enjoyed it a lot: nice summer evening, sitting outside, looking at the mountains.

Do yourself a favour and get to Panevino! Such a cool vibe. The food is amazing, (they had a pulled beef and coleslaw sandwich when we were there that I will dream about forever) the beer selection is unmatched, and if you happen to be glutine free you’re gonna think you’ve died and gone to heaven. The staff are super friendly and accommodating - even when they are run off their feet. We stop here every time we’re up the valley, and that won’t change...

Di ritorno da una splendida giornata di trekking a Riale e dintorni, decidiamo di fermarci qui per cena prima di riscendere la valle e tornare a casa. Ci accomodiamo a un tavolino all'esterno, la frescura del tardo pomeriggio è gradevole. Il menù è interessante per la proposta di piatti classici della tradizione rivisitati in chiave moderna e alternativa, e alla fine io scelgo il piatto del giorno (polenta con verze e pancetta) e la mia compagna il rosti con uovo e verdure di contorno. Da bere una bella birra artigianale Lepontina di Domodossola. Tutto davvero buono, personale (tutto al femminile) molto cortese. Sul locale non mi esprimo molto perché l'ho visto solo di sfuggita per andare alla cassa, ma l'atmosfera mi è sembrata bella e calda, anche grazie ai Queen fo the Stone Age in sottofondo (nota di merito). A prima vista i prezzi sembrano leggermente altini rispetto alla norma, ma occorre notare che il locale non fa pagare il coperto! Inoltre, altra nota di merito è la possibilità di pagare con la carta di credito. Il bagno esterno al locale è una piccola pecca, ma d'estate è sicuramente un problema trascurabile. Cmq faccio i miei complimenti ai ragazzi proprietari e a tutto il team che porta avanti l'attività per il coraggio e la caparbietà di offrire una proposta di ristorazione di questo tipo...
