We went here four nights in a row, which says a lot already. The restaurant is close to tasting-menu level, with Michelin-star quality in invention and ingredients. Starters were a bit uneven – the scallop focaccia was outstanding, but the creamed cod bland and the cheese board supermarket-level.

The mains more than made up for it. The lasagna was bursting with flavour (though served as a tiny square), the fregola done paella-style was the absolute star, the paccheri perfectly al dente, and the spaghetti alle vongole spot on.

Desserts were a mixed bag but overall excellent. The upside-down apple tart felt deconstructed and lacked cohesion, but the Catalan cream was a revelation. The tiramisù was like a cloud – light yet full of flavour – and the choux donut was the best of all, with delicate pastry and luscious cream, almost millefeuille-like.

The venue is beautiful, set in a garden-style ambiance with lovely staff who spoke excellent English. The rustic outdoor setting does mean bugs are part of the experience, so long sleeves are smart. It’s definitely more expensive than local competitors, but in my view, worth the price for a night or two.

Overall, a memorable dining experience with ambition and flair – a few misses, but the highs were so good they kept us coming back night...

Ortoristorante Pula is the kind of place that feels like a secret garden—lush, inviting, and utterly peaceful. Nestled in a beautiful outdoor setting, the garden’s cosy atmosphere sets the tone for a meal that’s both relaxing and interesting . Twinkling lights and the soft rustle of leaves turn dinner into an experience.

The service is warm, attentive, and refreshingly genuine. The staff, mostly young people, make you feel welcome without ever being intrusive, adding to the laid-back elegance of the place.

🍖 For those with hearty appetites, the grilled meat plate is a triumph—robust, flavourful. A plate that leaves gentlemen nodding in appreciation. A classic bbq plate 🍽️

🥬 The vegetable lasagne, made with produce harvested from the restaurant’s very own garden, a nice freshness. Layers of perfectly roasted vegetables and velvety sauce make it both wholesome and tasty. Although I didn't like the breadcrumb layers Whether you're looking for a romantic evening or simply a moment of serenity paired with great food, Ortoristorante Pula delivers with grace and charm.

➕ Extra Plus ➕ Our dog 🐶 Toffee was warmly welcomed with a bowl 🥣 of...

I'm struggling to review this place as I don't want to destroy their rating. Staff 5 stars, staff are brilliant they spoke English, very friendly with tourists, allowed us to come with dogs on terrace Ambience 5 stars, beautiful garden location with mellow music, great Romantic spot. Starter/ Antipasti 5 stars: I had the roasted. aubergine, perfect mix of flavours and textures

Cons First plate/ Primi 1 star it was terrible. The Seafood Fregola was salty, oily, and flavourless could not finish even though I was starving The calamarata tonno, the pasta was too ardente and I would say not properly cooked, the sauce was watery and tasteless.

-we could not actually take our dogs in because there were too many cats coming to everytable we had to leave them in the car, fortunately it was evening and not too hot.

As a foodie I would personally not come back to eat when hungry but I would go back for a coffee, dessert or Antipasti only. I assume they have a brilliant chef preparing the antipasti and a not so good chef...

unfortunately we have not been welcomed very friendly from the lady at the reception. the ambience was amazing though! alone for this, we would reccommend this place. the chairs and the table are not so comfortable though - we would have expected a better comfort of the furnitures. bread as a starter was okay, but no highlight. the cheeks with potate can be recommended - it was very warm and tasty. unfortunately, the pasta with the meat was neither one of that. it was not warm, nor was it pretty delicious - it tasted like it has even been forgotten to salten them. the typical dessert from sardinia (fried cheese cookie with honey) was very sweet- but thats typical for the dessert so please dont take this point as negative critic. what we can recommend is the white chocolate panna cotta - very tasty. all in all, we have paid for 2 main courses and 2 desserts plus 2 glasses of wine and 2 coffe plus 1 bottle of water 85€. price is in general okay, but not for the rather not so good main course (pasta with meat)
