The nature of the area is already breathtaking and staying at this cosy family-run hotel pushes the joy of vacation over the top. Our room was large enough, decorated simple with everything we needed in and had a beautiful scenery of mountains. Considering we dont speak german or italian, there was a little language barrier at the very beginning but many thanx to english speaking staff who were truly helpful and not even once showed any sign of boredom while answering our unfinishing questions about the area, transportation etc:) About food; I would have liked to have fresh fruit at breakfast but other than that it was totally fine. Dinner menu was quite suprisingly good for a three star hotel. By the time we stayed there it was local organic meat week in town and all recipes in the menu were based on this special occasion. Presentation of dishes and taste were remarkable. I highly recommend you to try tartar dish. The only thing might be bothering for those light sleepers like me is the bell of the church across the hotel, rings every 15 minutes from 6 in the morning to 12 at night. Everyday of the week it's like that...So next time i stay at Gasthof Huber, i will %100 for sure take my earplugs with me. The hotel is 6-7 minutes drive away to amazing Lake Braies. Small family-run alpine guesthouse in magnificent countryside surrounding the breathtaking Dolomites. All the staff were friendly and outgoing, particularly the lady owner and nothing was to much trouble - ask, and it arrived. Although the cuisine would grace any top class restaurant I found the menu extremely limited especially since everything seem to centre on asparagus - the white variety is particularly disgusting. That said, the meat was cooked to perfection and the table service was what you might expect from a hotel carrying many more stars.||The rooms were small and basic but had everything you need for a short stay (ours was a walking holding of only three days) The view from the balconies are superb but it might take a little time to work out the french windows - a curious set of levers on each side by the walls which lifted the doors to release the locks - try it before you drink the excellent, if pricey, wine otherwise you may find the puzzle somewhat difficult.||Given the exceedingly low price for a resort gasthof in this setting, you'd be very hard pressed to find better value and comfort.||Should you decide to sit outside to enjoy the view, be prepared to spend a little time throwing a yellow plastic toy for the owner's Alsatian (cross ?) which will demand your attention (whether you like it or...

Recensisco solo il ristorante: Siamo capitati qui per la cena di Pasqua, essendo in villeggiatura presso un altro b&b della zona. Nonostante non avessimo prenotato e fosse quasi al completo, la signora, proprietaria dell'hotel e del ristorante, ci ha trovato ugualmente un tavolo abbastanza agilmente, forse un poco scomodo nel mezzo della sala ma è andato molto più che bene per la serata tranquilla e piacevolissima che abbiamo trascorso! L'atmosfera è proprio tipica di tutti gli alberghi/strutture della zona: rustico, caldissimo, accogliente, tutto in legno chiaro e con decorazioni, suppellettili e arredi tipici altoatesini! Il tutto risulta avvolgente, familiare e perfetto per godersi una serata all'insegna del relax e dei sapori della zona! Per iniziare la nostra cena pasquale abbiamo preso un tagliere di salumi misti con formaggi della Val Pusteria davvero strepitosi! Ci sono piaciuti molto tutti i prodotti proposti ma spezzo una lancia in merito soprattutto al salamino affumicato, 100% bolzanino veramente incredibile! Ha un sapore pungente e forte unico nel suo genere e si sente la punta legnosa nella carne morbidissima! Ovviamente non può mancare il celeberrimo speck, forse il più noto, ma dovete assolutamente assaggiare lo speck "cotto": un salume che si può trovare solo in zona ed è un passo oltre quello tradizionale! È veramente ottimo, ha un sapore peculiare, molto avvolgente e unico! Molto apprezzati anche i vari formaggi della valle. Poi, abbiamo preso filettini di maiale avvolti dallo speck con patate arrosto e asparagi e il piatto re dell'Alto Adige tutto e cioè i canederli tradizionali, serviti rigorosamente in brodo! I filettini sono fenomenali: la carne, nonostante siamo molto sapida grazie allo speck attorno, rimane morbidissima, si scioglie come burro assieme ad un sugo denso, ricco, goloso e avvolgente il palato, il quale inzuppa nel migliore dei sensi le patate arrosto sottostanti che diventano così un vero peccato di gola! Le apprezzate in particolare perché erano veramente gustose e morbide! Mi è piaciuta molto anche la presentazione con qualche erbetta e fiori edibili, che danno una bella sferzata di freschezza, pulendo il palato di boccone in boccone! Tris di canederli spaziali: assolutamente da provare! Si presentano uno allo speck, uno al formaggio e uno di carne mista: ricchi, burrosi, un vero peccato di gola e nutrientissimi sono la vera punta di diamante della cucina tipica! Una pietanza sostanziosa, notevole nelle consistenze e ragguardevole al palato che va assolutamente assaporata! Per concludere, soddisfatti e saziati a dovere dall'ottima cena, abbiamo preso una grappa ai mirtilli, morbida, dolce, piacevole e rotonda al palato che ho gradito molto perché dotata anche di una punta di legno in chiusura e quindi ha concluso in modo impeccabile la serata! Il servizio è stato molto cordiale, gentile e disponibile, direi anche tutto sommato veloce vista la quantità di clienti presenti e ringrazio ancora per averci trovato un posto nonostante il quasi sold out! Davvero gentilissimi! Prezzi assolutamente in linea con la zona e la qualita/quantità dei prodotti serviti, direi nella norma! Consigliatissimo se vi trovate nella meravigliosa...
