I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming mountain retreat, seeking solace and relaxation after a day of invigorating walks. Il Monte Baranci (circa 2 ore da Trento, direzione Dobbiaco) sovrasta e protegge l’incantato borgo di San Candido in Alta Val Pusteria. E’ famoso soprattutto per il suo Funbob, un alpine coaster lungo 1,7 chilometri che in estate richiama bambini (e anche adulti!) da tutta la Regione. Per raggiungere la sommità del monte si prende la comoda funivia che in pochi minuti conduce ad un’altezza di 1493 metri e alla partenza della pista da slittino. Non fate l’errore di scendere immediatamente! Lasciate il funbob come ultimo e spericolato divertimento della giornata. A monte degli impianti di risalita infatti si può godere davvero di un piccolo angolo di pace a misura di bambino dove trascorrere diverse ore!

Non abbiamo fatto in tempo a scendere dalla funivia che i nostri bimbi si sono lanciati di corsa verso i due laghetti e il fiumiciattolo artificiale. Perfetti per immergere i piedi (e qualcosa di più) nelle calde giornate estive: non dimenticate costume e asciugamano quindi! Mentre i bambini sono impegnati a giocare i genitori possono rilassarsi sui comodissimi lettini in legno disseminati nel parco… Il parco è pieno di giochi, oltre ad altalene, scivoli e torri da scalare c’è anche un grande gonfiabile per fare salti e capriole, la pista con i gommoni e il rifugio degli gnomi. L’altra attrazione del Monte Baranci (dopo il funbob naturalmente) è il parco di arrampicata “Percorso degli Gnomi”. Si tratta di una specie di parco avventura, ma molto più semplice, adatto quindi anche ai bambini più piccoli (sotto i 12 anni si entra comunque solo accompagnati). Qui i piccoli si divertono tra carrucole, ponti tibetani e corde da scalare. Il prezzo per il noleggio dell’attrezzatura è di 5,50 euro.Se avete voglia di fermarvi a pranzo potete optare per un comodo pic-nic all’aria aperta oppure per il vicino Rifugio Gigante Baranci, qui potete scegliere di usufruire del self-service (più economico) o del ristorante. I giudizi su tripadvisor di questo ristorante sono lusinghieri (anche se molti concordano nei prezzi altini, ma che ci volete fare, siamo in Alto Adige! 🙂 )

Terminata la vostra giornata di divertimento sul Monte Baranci ecco la chicca di cui vi abbiamo parlato all’inizio. Per scendere a valle avete tre modi: una semplice passeggiata tra boschi e prati (un’oretta circa di cammino), prendere nuovamente la seggiovia, oppure (opzione stra-stra consigliata) sfrecciare a valle a bordo del fantastico Funbob!!! Lungo 1736 metri con un dislivello di 314, è un’emozionante corsa sulla montagna con il vento che accarezza e prati verdissimi a fare da cornice. Il bello del funbob è che potete decidere voi la velocità di marcia. Immaginiamo che i ragazzini non freneranno neppure alla curva più adrenalinica, i bimbi più piccoli invece possono scendere con tutta calma assieme ai genitori e godersi lo spettacolo panoramico che questo angolo di valle offre ai nostri occhi! Unica pecca, almeno quando siamo stati noi, c’era una fila davvero lunga quindi bisogna armarsi di pazienza e aspettare, ma ne vale...

He suddenly flipped the umbrella, which was full of rainwater, right over our heads while we were still sitting underneath it. As a result, all the water fell directly on my wife, soaking her completely—without any warning and without even an apology.

When I asked him to wait before closing it, Eusebio responded in an impolite manner, blaming the wind instead of acknowledging that he had closed the umbrella while my wife was still under it.
