Ristorante Hostaria Modí — Restaurant in Rapolano Terme

Very average food, truffle ravioli was pleasant enough but pizza could have been from a supermarket. The 3 staff members were absent from the (very warm and poorly ventilated) main eating area for large portions of time, giving the impression they were both serving and preparing the food. There clearly were not enough staff to accomodate the number of diners both indoors and outside. Staff initially failed to bring my husband his drink and then it appeared twice on our bill. The coverage charge was also excessive. Find somewhere...

What can I say other than first class! We had the the fungi porchini mushrooms and a great bottle of local Tucana wine to start. I had the steak fiornitino and for desert the creama pistachio which was heaven. The service was 5 stars all the way! Next time in the area will be a trip in here for dinner again...

This restaurant has the most amazing sunset views. The food was excellent, the standout was the ragu pasta and chocolate lava cake dessert.

One point of caution, don't listen. To Google maps because it takes you down a very tight drive. I would park anywhere you see a spot on the main road...
