The host here is always busy, but he somehow always makes time for you. Whether he's explaining the menu or discussing the local produce, wines and beers, it's obvious he's as passionate about the food as he is the service. And it's all really, really good.

Come here if you want really good, deliciously unpretentious food in an unassuming, easy-going environment, where you're more than welcome, you're appreciated.

The view from the terrace is great all year round, and in summer, the sun setting behind the Tuscan hills as you wash down that last slice of spicy pecorino with a vivacious, locally produced IPA or Chianti, will be something that stays with you long after the aftertaste has faded.

I've been here 5-6 times over the past two years, on business trips to the region. This review applies to every visit I've had here. I have to add that this place has one final, pleasant surprise: the price. It is far cheaper to eat here than one would reasonably expect, given the quality of the produce, speed of service, hygiene and friendliness of staff. Alle porte del centro storico di Rapolano Terme troviamo questo locale grazioso ed informale. Siamo in 3 ed il titolare ci accoglie con cortesia e simpatia. Sull'insegna all'esterno c'è scritto "prodotti km. 0"; quante volte poi questa intenzione viene meno........ebbene non è il caso di quest'oggi. I prodotti proposti, dalla carne al formaggio, dalla birra artigianale (ottima) al caffè sono tutti di produttori locali. La nostra scelta ricade su piatti tipici; dal tagliere dei salumi e formaggi, abbondante nelle porzioni ed ottimo nel gusto, accompagnato da miele e mostarde, al crostone con pecorino e salame, per arrivare ai pici di ragù bianco (indimenticabili). Ma la vera chicca sono i crostoni di tonno (ma in verità è carne di maiale lavorata a straccetti) con fagioli e cipolla dal sapore equilibrato. Il tutto accompagnato da ottima birra artigianale le cui caratteristiche vengono illustrate in modo competente ed appassionato dal titolare. Dolci altrettanto pregevoli. Potete scegliere anche il caffè; un'arabica od un sapore più deciso. Il prezzo decisamente contenuto. Se passate da Rapolano non potete esimervi da una visita a "Sapori in Torre" sia per la qualità delle materie prime che per la gentilezza e la simpatia dei titolari. Ah, dimenticavo due cose importanti: vi è un comodo parcheggio proprio di fronte il locale e soprattutto vi verranno servite le bevande nel vetro, in quanto i titolari sono molto attenti a limitare l'uso della plastica....
