Mo.Wa — Restaurant in Ravenna

MO.WA is surrounded by discotecs and bars. The modern decor, upbeat music and lively service staff make it quite the exciting place to eat. You can grab pizza and drinks outside or a full dining experience on the inside. We visited on 15 Aug, so the beaches of Ravenna were packed, and so were the restaurants.

We did not have a reservation, and I highly recommend you make one. The hostess was, thankfully, able to figure out accommodations. I asked our waiter to recommend a bottle of wine based our tastes and he did a fantastic job. We then ordered an antipasti to split, the fried calamari and the grilled branzino. The grilled branzino was the star of the show. They set up a whole extra table and the waiter filets the whole grilled fish right in front of you and prepares a good simple salad. The calamari was just as delicious--perfectly cooked, tender, mild squid with a drizzle of balsamic tossed in radicchio.

After the spectacle of the branzino, we decided to order dessert. The frutti di bosco cheesecake and the chocolate souffle were absolutely wonderful. Perfectly cooked and flavors were well balanced.

We did not order the pizza, but it was clearly the most popular item, as they were constantly serving pizzas.

Overall, if you are looking for a wonderful dinner or just drinks and pizza, MO.WA is a first...

“SCANDALOSI E INCOMPENTI CON PREZZI FOLLI!!”

Siamo andati a cena sabato 1 luglio ed eravamo in 4. Ci siamo seduti alle 20:40, ordinato 2 antipasti completi di pesce (circa 50€ l'uno), 2 primi e 2 secondi con 2 bottiglie di vino e senza nessuna richiesta particolare. Gli ANTIPASTI PIUTTOSTO SCARSI E SCADENTI sono stati serviti alle 21:40 (1h dopo che ci siamo seduti) come se nulla fosse e senza giustificare in alcun modo l'attesa, mentre IL RESTO è STATO SERVITO dopo numerosi solleciti da parte nostra ALLE ORE 23:15. Durante tutto questo tempo di attesa, SIAMO STATI COMPLETAMENTE IGNORATI DAI CAMERIERI che non ci hanno minimamente considerati né si sono preoccupati che dopo UN ATTESA DI 1H E MEZZA non ci fosse arrivato nemmeno un primo. Hanno iniziato a preoccuparsi leggermente quando alterato ho annullato l'ordine del mio primo. Dopo questa infinita attesa sono arrivati i piatti che sono stati un completo DISASTRO! Lo spiedino di tonno aveva ancora il TONNO CONGELATO, gli SPEGHETTI IMMERSI NELL'ACQUA di cottura, le VEDURE dell'altro secondo erano FREDDE e il PESCE veramente SCADENTE. Dopo aver rimandato indietro il tonno congelato perché obbiettivamente immangiabile e aggiungendo che non lo avremo pagato, hanno iniziato a preoccuparsi che non pagassimo il conto e di conseguenza hanno iniziato a considerarci con tutte le carinerie del caso "vi facciamo lo sconto, vi togliamo questo, quell'altro, ecc..". Dopo le ultime portate ordinate ci siamo rifiutati di ordinare o accettare altro e siamo andati a pagare. DOPO UNA SCENA A DIR POCO PIETOSA E SCHIFOSA, pur considerando i loro "sconti" per scusarsi, ABBIAMO PAGATO 45€ A TESTA! Personalmente ho pagato solo perché non volevo mancare di rispetto al mio amico che aveva prenotato il ristorante e che era già abbastanza mortificato dell'accaduto. In tutti questo il proprietario si è proprio defilato, lasciando il cameriere fare il conto e gestire la situazione. VERAMENTE INCAPACI, INCOMPETENTI E...

After making us wait 20min before ordering, it took another half hour before we got food. Then rain came, on our heads water was dropping. Staff tried to help by pouring water out. We got splashed by that water, after that incident we asked to be moved inside (under firm roof). Boss declined and let us stay in the pouring rain....
