Hello, I am Sicilian so I would have preferred to write a good review, but unfortunately this was an unpleasant experience.
From the beginning to park the car, the man at the entrance was very rude.
Woman at the cash restaurant was very nice and told me to accommodate my self.
I was waiting for a steel water 10 minutes, than I ordered a glass of sparkling rosè, and the girl that I guessed was Sicilian, she gave me direct the glass with no show me the bottle and serve to me at the table.
I ordered a risotto with scampi, but in the meantime no one is asked me if everything was ok, or give it to me bread and olive oil.
Usually in Sicily is a MUST serve this small appetiser.
Anyway I asked a piece of bread and olive oil to a woman that was very unhappy with my request, she was wearing differently, in total white.
After 30 minutes the risotto arrived, but was totally uncooked and too salty.
I tried to do not complain, and finally the universe was with me, because a girl who’s called Jasmine asked me if it was good and I sincerely answered to test the risotto before talking. She also realised that risotto was too salty and no balanced flavor, so she apologised and told me she would have it redone. After that the risotto was better, not the best. Almost €30 for a risotto.
For the payment the didn’t accept American Express, but there was write yes to the wall and to the wallet where you put inside the receipt.
For all those impolite manners I was aspected at list a coffe for free. No 1 cent was deducted.
This is not the way to welcome peoples.
Smile, welcoming, empathetic approach, professional communication are all those characteristics that must be considered in hospitality sector, a cohesive team it’s mean there is a good work behind especially during hight season with more pressure.
Thanks and I hope you can consider my review positively to improve your business and...
Read moreWe got here after excursion for a quick lunch. For the price range, I'm sorry to say I had expected a significantly higher level of service.
First, when asked which dish would be the shortest to prepare, the staff simply pointed at the entire menu, evidently not understanding enough English - quite a surprise for such level of restaurant.
Second, there were only two toilets, both quite small and clearly not enough as people kept pulling on the door (so no indication of occupancy).
Third, our food arrived and one dish was custom that the waiter said he can fix up, however the custom part was not there. Since we were on a timer, we thought it was fine, but then they tried to charge us for the custom part anyway. Easily cleared up, but this simply should not happen when you pay 100€ for three dishes.
Food was unimpressive (we had pasta with pistachio, spaghetti with shrimp and gnocchi with sea urchin). I did like pasta with pistachio sauce, but the urchin sauce tasted too much sea water and the shrimp came grilled whole - doesn't quite fit together with spaghetti. In pretty much any of the big cities you can find much tastier local food (also fresh fish and sea food) for half the price.
Finally, the quite mundane beach cheslounges cost an outrageous 60€. No shower, no changing room, no toilet. Simply shocking. The beach is not cleaned either, full of sea weed, there were cigarette butts...
Read moreThe location has convenient parking, but unfortunately the restaurant was a major letdown. Prices are extremely high for the portions you receive, and the quality of the food simply doesn’t justify the cost. Most of the dishes tasted like they had just come out of the freezer – lacking freshness, texture, and real flavor. The only exception was the octopus, which was fresh, tender, and by far the highlight of the meal. Everything else felt uninspired and low-quality, especially for the price point.
The service also left a lot to be desired. Staff seemed unorganized and overwhelmed, which meant waiting far too long for drinks or even for something as basic as ketchup or mayo. It gave the impression that there was no proper system in place to handle even a moderate number of guests.
What made the experience worse was the atmosphere. The restaurant tries to appear glamorous and high-end, relying on expensive champagne and a “luxury” image. In reality, however, it felt more like a poorly run snack bar trying to mask its weaknesses with inflated prices. The gap between presentation and actual delivery was disappointing.
Overall, apart from the octopus and the convenience of parking, there wasn’t much that stood out positively. For the high cost, the food, service, and overall experience fell far short of expectations. Not a place I would recommend or...
