If you want to be treated poorly and pay for it, this is the place to go to. The prices are high however, but you will get a poor culinary experience ( which is a pity given the cuisine of the region) and will get the chance of being humiliated. To be fair, the pizza was good, but the pasta was less than average. The waiter was very rude to us ( maybe tourist bonus ? ) . My husband wanted to order a salad and he didn’t even wait for it, so we had to settle for the first course. Then, at the end we wanted to pack what we didn’t eat to take away. We stopped by this pizzeria spontaneously while visiting Scala dei Turchi, just looking for a quick snack to go – and ended up having the best pizza we ate during our entire stay in Sicily.

We ordered two pizzas: one with shrimp and pistachios, and the other with sardines – and both were absolutely amazing. The sardine pizza, in particular, was a standout: rich in flavor, perfectly baked, and incredibly satisfying. And all that for just 8 or 9 euros – unbeatable value for the quality we got.

Premetto che sono/ero un vecchio cliente, che in passato ha consigliato questo posto a molti! Locale rustico con vista sulla scala dei turchi, pietanze buone e abbondanti, ottimi anche nel prezzo..ma un ristorante lo si sceglie per tanti motivi non soltanto per il panorama! Abbiamo prenotato e appena arrivati ho notato che la nuova stagione ha portato delle novità, inizialmente belle, il locale è stato reso in parte più carino e meno rustico ma ciò ha fatto andare fuori binario..ci sediamo e aprendo il menù abbiamo notato che ha avuto un aumento dei prezzi vertiginoso, tutto raddoppiato o quasi come anche il coperto e francamente non ho capito il motivo dato che il tovagliato è sempre di carta, le posate sono sempre quelle (coltello vecchio stampo con manico bianco di plastica), ma ricordando come si mangiava non mi sono soffermato tanto sui prezzi e abbiamo ordinato..nel frattempo notiamo che il locale era pieno di gatti randagi, da me molto amati, ma forse poco igienici in un ristorante.. Arrivate le pietanze mi è balzato subito all’occhio che l’aumento dei prezzi è stato inversamente proporzionale alle quantità dei piatti (la qualità è rimasta ottima). Mentre mangiavamo dovevamo stare attenti ai gatti in quanto più di una volta hanno cercato di salire sul tavolo o ci camminavano di fianco al tavolo sulla staccionata, vedendo lo stesso fastidio anche in altri tavoli ho deciso di chiamare il titolare che mi risponde dicendo: I gatti non sono nostri, vi posso spostare in un tavolo interno (senza neanche scusarsi)..abbiamo declinato l’invito dato che già fuori c’erano 35 gradi e dentro non ci fosse l’aria condizionata..
