So I have very mixed feelings about this place. It's setting is quaint and somewhat romantic, but food and service could be stepped up a notch...(or two) keeping mind all this is coming from an Ukrainian expat living in US for many years, used to US service and food... Got here early Friday night, 8ish... Place felt empty, only couple tables taken, mostly tourists. 7-8 minutes till menus were given, in Italian. Another 10 minutes later a gentleman (owner maybe?) Took our drink order and said having to figure out the menu was part of travel experience... Ok, let's try it. Pizza was easy to guess, and once it came out it was actually pretty good, tho a bit too salty. I wanted a pasta dish and was recommended a local type of pasta, long and round, thicker than spaghetti. Server failed to inform that it is served undercooked, feels hard and tastes like it's few days old...( Not sure if it's the case) definitely was a surprise to me and I didn't like it nor eat it... In hopes of not offending anyone, I told the server so... Sharing the pizza seemed enough tho... Server was nice enough to try and make it up with free lemonciello shots. Delish.. Do yourself a favor and please skip this restaurant. Servers were both looking like they had a bad day, seafood was very bland, burger was dry (not even “well done” but more like “congratulations”), I had sand on one of my shrimps and the house wine is very mediocre (unless you like to be surprised with a slightly sparkling whine not knowing that while ordering). É sempre molto facile scrivere cattive recensioni e a mio malgrado purtroppo non posso sottrarmi dal valutare negativamente questo ristorante. Spero che questa come altre cattive recensioni possa fungere da campanello d’allarme perché non vi è cattiveria o pregiudizio. Questo locale ha una location con delle potenzialità, é una struttura che ha bisogno di una rivoluzione. Prima di tutto l’offerta del menù se pur molto vasta non contiene nulla di appetitoso, niente che possa suscitare desiderio o curiosità. Si potrebbe pensare che nell’ offrire piatti così semplici in realtà si vuole portare avanti i sapori della tradizione locale . No. La cucina sforna pizze, antipasti, primi, secondi, di mare e di terra ma il vero problema è che se vi accontentate di ingurgitare del cibo commestibile, ok allora può soddisfarvi, così come potrebbe soddisfarvi un qualsiasi fast food di bassa lega. Nel nostro caso fatta eccezione per i crostini, sia le linguine ai porcini che il carpaccio erano praticamente insipidi, brutti, al limite della sufficienza che una cucina dovrebbe realizzare. Viene da chiedersi, perché spendere dei soldi per questa “robaccia”. Gestore simpatico ma molto goffo, personale anche qui anonimo e sbrigativo. Un consiglio. Ridurre drasticamente il menù e rafforzare poche cose ma buone. Assumete un cuoco vero, curate l’accoglienza, ripristinate la bellezza delle sale. Forse i turisti stranieri che non conoscono la cucina italiana saranno spesso rimasti contenti ma fate presente che lì fuori dai vostri cancelli ci sono locali che fanno di molto meglio con molto meno.
