Ristorante Pizzeria Exo — Restaurant in Rho

I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant for a quick lunch with some friends I was visiting in “Old Rho”. Although parking nearby was a challenge the walk to the restaurant was well worth it. It is large and able to accommodate many patrons. We were pleasantly greeted by the restaurant owner who happened to have spent a few years in Melbourne, Australia and he had a nice command of English once he saw we were not Italians. We were promptly seated at a table for four and the waitress who attended to us also spoke English. Water & Beer was ordered while we perused the menu. Since we needed to eat and dash quickly we all opted to order different individual pizza’s and we took the recommendations from our waitresses as we intended to share. To our pleasant surprise the pizzas; which are cooked in a wood burning oven; came to the table within 5 minutes. Not great. We should have read the signs when they brought is a menu that looked like all three volumes of the lord of the rings.

Fino a 2 anni fa questa pizzeria era il mio riferimento, le pizze erano elaborate e interessanti, gli ingredienti di qualità e il servizio buono. Ci sono tornato recentemente con alcuni miei amici avendo buone aspettative sulla base delle mie esperienze passate. Il menù bene o male è rimasto lo stesso, ciò che è cambiato è la qualità degli ingredienti: la pizza al pistacchio di Bronte è passata dall'avere un'ottima crema di pistacchio ad avere una stucchevole crema dolciastra e della salsiccia che ho trovato estremamente pesante. Anche i miei amici hanno convenuto che le loro pizze non erano all'altezza delle aspettative, nonostante i prezzi fossero sopra la media. Anche il servizio è peggiorato: alla cassa alla mia richiesta di dividere il totale alla romana, la cassiera mi ha risposto in modo acido che avrebbe prima dovuto verificare le cose ordinate se le avessi dato il tempo, peccato che nessuno le stava mettendo fretta ed è stata decisamente scortese.
