Ambasciata di Mare — Restaurant in Rimini

We visited this restaurant after hearing great things about their fish, but sadly, the experience didn’t live up to the expectations. Most of the fish we ordered was overcooked and slightly burned, and the side of broccoli was unpleasantly bitter.

While the waitress was kind, communication was poor. I specifically asked if the fish came with vegetables—she said yes, but we were later surprised by a €5 charge for them. The same happened with the mixed fish platter: we were asked what kind of potatoes we wanted, and it was implied they were included, but again, another €5 was added to the bill.

We were also served a small bread basket without any explanation—it seemed complimentary, but it turned out to cost €5 (€2.50 per person) for just a few slices and additional two hard, dry pieces of white bread. Especially frustrating considering their white pizza (which is basically the same bread) was listed at €4.50 on the menu.

All these unexpected charges added up to €15 extra, making us feel misled. It’s not about the money—it’s about transparency. I’m always happy to pay for good service and extras, but not when they come as a surprise.

The lack of clear communication left a bitter aftertaste, both literally and emotionally. Unfortunately, this impacted the overall experience and the tip we had originally...

I would never say, we have enjoyed the lunch pretty much. Delicious olive oil was served with dry and previous day baked bread. Server found immediate explanation that it was coming from the oven. We do believe in its orygin, but the fact is, they baked it yesterday. The twin sister of a dry bread was a chicken at Caesar's Salad- extra dry, disgusting and spoiling entire meal. The sauce instead of anchovies, parmigiano and yolks was made of vinegar and mayo. The only dish that tastes good was pizza (unfortunately not shared for a slices). The spot just for a quick lunch, with no expectations and not to come...

Sono stato a cena la sera della festa della Repubblica.. Ovvero il 2 giugno 2018... Avevo il tavolo prenotato, all'arrivo chiedo se possiamo accomodarci fuori ma ci dicono che fuori e prenotato.. Ma dentro si crepa di caldo e l'aria condizionata sembra assente al momento. Antipasti ottimi salmone affumicato con caprino eccezionale da 5 stelle... Primo tagliolini scoglio idem favolosi pesce freschissimo una bontà .... Anche ostriche nel cibo l'unico difetto che ho riscontrato è la frittura di pesce... Poco abbondante ma soprattutto untissima di olio sul fondo a giudicare dalla stessa pietanza di un cliente ad un altro tavolo direi che la nostra per qualità e abbondanza peccava tanto. Infine la frettolositá del servizio le mie 3 stelle vanno al fritto e al servizio sopratutto... Altrimenti a metà pasto ero convinto di dare il massimo a questo locale... Inoltre come di consueto di usa portare pane o fornarine ai clienti in attesa di ordinazione o durante il pasto... Invece non ho avuto niente.. E mi è toccato chiedere... Un cameriere mi ha gentilmente risposto che di lì a poco avrebbe portato un cestino di pane.. Ma così non è stato... Ho preferito concludere e pagare per andare via... Io e la mia ragazza abbiamo stabilito che il cibo è ottimo è fresco soprattutto...ma non torneremo Rimini e piena di...
