We had dinner at Birreria Riposto on our last night in Riposto. We walked past it a few times and it always looked interesting, so we decided to try it out. It was excellent from start to finish.
There was a cozy courtyard in the back where we were seated. It was beautifully appointed.
The food was amazing. We kind of went all out and tried a little of everything. We had the homemade cold cuts and cheese, the octopus salad, the shrimp tartare, oysters, potatoes, and both kinds of salad. We topped it off with a very nice bottle of red wine. Normally, one of us gets a meal that we agree is a little less satisfying than the others, but not here. Each dish was absolutely delicious.
The servers were attentive when we needed them and unobtrusive when we did not. In all, it was a wonderful experience. We are so glad...
Read moreI think that as a tourist, this place is worth to have a dinner or a drink if you are already in Riposto.
The place itself is super stylish, I felt home, especially because it's rare to find quality interior design here.
The stuff speaks in English, they are kind so the place and the service is on the European level.
Regarding the food, it's not that kind of Italian food you came to Sicily, not traditional, no pasta, no pizza. I think this food can freak out Italians. But as a tourist, if you want something less fried, less heavy, or well served, it's a good option. Basically, fancy street food level. It was not an expensive, elegant dinner or restaurant experience, more like a nice cocktail and stylish street food kind of expensive.
You don't get disappointed if you know this, I think it's a good choice to visit...
Read moreOutstanding. The ambience is great and food is excellent. The chef is extremely creative with the plates and the ingredients are fresh and produced locally. We went for a dinner with 12 people and then went back just for drinks and light snacks on the outdoor patio. Located in an old olive oil and wine facility, the rooms have high vaulted ceilings and ancient stone arches. It is a great space to enjoy an outstanding meal with friends. The beer is produced onsite and the brewer Allesandro is incredible. Extremely knowledgable and personable. He gave us the history of the recipes and explained the process. He speaks great English, as does most of the staff. We had all three of their hand-crafted beers and each was delicious. Will be going back again during our stay in...
