Zash Ristorante — Restaurant in Riposto

Unfortunately Zash, as a hotel/accommodation experience, has a lot it really needs to improve. The rooms have a lot of rough edges. We stayed in the Green Room, by the pool, and found the following: The hot water takes a long time and has very low pressure. The normal shower head has no overhead mount and the rain show is so clogged with minerals from the water that it's more of a mist than a shower. The toilet smells quite bad, there is poor sewage extraction. The silicone sealant in the bathroom is really poorly done, going moldy in parts and and peeling or melting off in others. There is very poor light in the bathroom. Noise from the bathroom is very clear in the bedroom, which can detract from a romantic experience. There was a lot of noise from an animal running around inside or on top of the roof of our room all night. There were water rats in the toilets by the pool (next to our room), which isn't uncommon for the country but preventable through poisons and better plumbing. The bed base is chipped and scratched. The air conditioner is dusty and old, it should be better hidden. With the service: they had forgotten about the extras we had booked, dinner and massages there was heavy rain and the polished concrete paths become extremely dangerous

Recentemente ho soggiornato presso Zash Country Boutique Hotel & SPA in una camera luxury con spa e piscina privata, e ho avuto l'opportunità di cenare due sere consecutive al loro ristorante, deliziandomi con i piatti dello chef stellato Raciti. Tuttavia, la mia esperienza si è rivelata deludente sotto diversi aspetti.

Nonostante sia già stato ospite di questa struttura in passato, questa volta ho trovato alcune criticità che compromettono il livello di relax e tranquillità che ci si aspetterebbe da un luogo di questa categoria. Prima di tutto, mi sono stati comunicati orari precisi (due al giorno) per il riordino della stanza, ma nonostante abbia lasciato gli spazi liberi (spostandomi in aree comuni) affinché lo staff potesse lavorare senza disturbarmi, non è mai passato: un disservizio che ho dovuto lamentare personalmente. Lo staff arriva con me in stanza privandomi della mia privacy. Inoltre, il condizionatore all’interno della camera era molto rumoroso, impedendomi di riposare adeguatamente.

La piscina, anch’essa privata, appariva visibilmente sporca, con foglie e detriti, una situazione comprensibile in un contesto di campagna, ma comunque insoddisfacente. Ho tolto i detriti da me e comunicato io al personale di ripassarla. Sono rimasto altresì dispiaciuto nel vedere alcuni ospiti “abituali” disturbare lo spazio con le loro famiglie, giocando a calcio a bordo piscina centrale, aspetto che innalza il livello di confusione e riduce il senso di exclusivity che ci si aspetterebbe da una struttura di lusso.

Un’altra nota che avrebbe bisogno di miglioramenti riguarda l’abbigliamento degli ospiti: sarebbe opportuno che il personale suggerisse un dress code adeguato per un Country Boutique Hotel & SPA, evitando di trovarsi persone in costume durante colazioni o pranzi. La reception, infine, si è limitata a scusarsi verbalmente senza offrire soluzione o attenzione concreta.

Nonostante abbia sfruttato ogni servizio disponibile e acquistato anche del vino al check-out, non è stato nemmeno offerto un caffè come gesto di cortesia, che avrebbe potuto mitigare almeno in parte le unfortunate esperienze vissute.

In conclusione, questa struttura, che propone un menù stellato e servizi di lusso, si configura più come un club vacanze in cerca di prestigio che un vero hotel di alta gamma. La mancanza di attenzione ai dettagli, al comfort e alla privacy rende l’esperienza molto distante dalle aspettative. Had a splendid experience at both of our meals at Zash Ristorante. As we were staying at the property, we were able to enjoy the full blown Michelin experience (ordered the 5 course chef’s surprise menu) on Monday evening followed by the pizza menu Tuesday (the restaurant’s “night off”) and both were stellar. Amazing views of the on-site orchard and sea in the distance. The five-course wound up being closer to 7 if you include the hefty bread course and amuse bouche which come with the order.
