Ristorante Pizzeria Bellavista — Restaurant in Riva di Solto

Overall terrible service and not even average food. Ridiculously overpriced for what it was.

We were welcomed at the door by a waitress who served us for the evening. The restaurant wasn't very busy (about 5 tables in total), we received our drinks on time and our food order was taken within a reasonable time.

The antipasto we shared of smoked salmon and smoked swordfish on toast with a garlic herb butter tasted fine but was badly presented. The big issue was with our mains, my partner ordered the mixed grill which included 5 different types of meat again badly presented on a bed of iceberg lettuce with wedges of lemon.

There was a beef steak that smelt, looked and tasted off. There was also a large piece of pork which we discovered was raw inside of a thicker part of it. We explained this to our waitress who just removed the plate and didn't come back for around 15 minutes, when she did come back she asked if we would like desserts at which point we said we would like the bill but we would not like to pay for my partners meal due to the dodgy meat. There was huge language barrier here as the waitress couldn't speak any English and we could only use basic Italian phrases however we used Google translate which helped. The waitress told us through Google translate that the meat was not raw it was just cartilage. We also explained about the beef but she dismissed this. She started avoiding us again for another 15 minutes and then said she will bring the bill where we again discussed we would not like to pay for the mixed grill ( my partner stopped eating once he discovered the bad meat and had not even got half way through) the waitress became very defensive and denied there was any manager we could speak to or anyone who spoke English. She threatened us with the police however I don't think she fully understood what we were trying to say. Eventually they agreed to take half of the price off the mixed grill so we paid €9 for a mixed grill of dodgy meat.

My main was fish with black olives and tomatoes, the fish was overdone and not particularly tasty and the olives were out of a jar with stones in, making it difficult to eat altogether in...

Kinda rude waiters . The biggest problem in my opinion is that - Menu is not translated in English . We Had to use google translate and even then - we got the wrong pizza. Saying pepperoni that is also "peperoni" ( pepper ) . so instead of pepperoni pizza we got pizza with red and yellow pepper . That pizza tasted not too bad. ( that's why I m giving 2 stars instead of 1) . Is there any way we could have gotten the right pizza by saying "pepperoni" ??? As waiter said peperoni with one p means pepper .... By saying it instead of reading it's impossible to order it right .... As they didn't really try to make sure they got the order right and they also didn't really react any nice about the mistake .... they just pointed out that peperoni with 1 p means pepper . but how would they know if we meant it with 2 p ? If they didn't ask .... and the other pizza we ordered was kinda terrible . but it might be just my opinion . House wine was a bit sparkly and terrible as well . as I didn't want to order the bottle , that was only one available to order in glass . There was also loud and annoying crowd . Careless and rude staff. Waited for 30 minutes before we finally could order, then again we had to wait too long before our drinks arrived. We had 3 or 4 different 'waiters', not my idea of running a restaurant. Ordering for 2nd drinks was hard. Before we were finished with telling what we wanted to drink she already rushed off so we had to order again to get the 2nd half of our drinks. Ridiculous and annoying. Receiving the bill also took too long. No interest in their (tourist) customers and not friendly. Often they did not look at us but stared outside the window when we spoke to them, thats rude in our opinion. Food and view over the lake were good. Restaurant itself is very simple with too much ugly white light. Not recommended at all for a nice evening out, too cheap environment. Maybe take away. But not anymore for...
