Locanda dell' Arcangelo — Restaurant in Rocca Massima

We booked this Bed and Breakfast on our trip between Naples and Rome not knowing how it would be. During our trip the satnav broke down but we were still able to find the location without any problem. The view from the B & B is amazing, perched high above the surrounding landscape and you can see for miles!! The staff were very friendly and welcoming and showed us our en-suite room which is a couple of floors above their restaurant.. Wow the view from the bedroom widow was awesome!! Picture perfect.||||The room was very spacious and clean with a nice bathroom. Though if you take a shower water will go everywhere, but that just seems to be the italian way.||||We also ate in the restaurant which was very good and well priced. Again the staff were awesome and it seems like a lot of the locals eat there as well.||||Breakfast was good and well prepared by the host. Amazing! Wonderful! Just perfect in so many ways! The staff were helpful and kind, the room was perfectly sized for us for one night, clean, tidy and very comfortable bed and good temperature room on a hot 30'+ degree day , the view overlooking the valley was breathtaking and the location for Fly in the Sky the next morning was brilliant. A view filled 2 minutes away. Ohh and the breakfast is gorgeous. With cereals and juices, to Jams and sweet cakes. And fresh coffee made as you arrive downstairs, very happy morning indeed. The restaurant in the hotel is very popular and the menu looked very tasty.

Supremo. Un posto destinato a restarci nel cuore. La location è favolosa con una vista a perdifiato su tutta la pianura pontina fino al mare, dall'alto di un caratteristico paesino medievale (il più alto dei monti Lepini). Tramonti rubacuore da capovolgere la testa. D'estate c'è un fresco ponentino rilassante, d'inverno hai l'aria colma di profumi di legna, muschio, caminetto e coccole di casa. E la.cucina di quest' elegante locanda ricorda un po' quella della nonna. Ma non una nonna qualsiasi: la migliore delle nonne! perché senza essere greve e scontata propone spesso piatti della tradizione con un tocco inaspettato, curato e fresco, sempre! Materie prime sceltissime, porzioni decisamente abbondanti ma servite con gusto e maniera... Insomma sembra assurdo ma sto descrivendo la perfezione! Le verdurine dell'orto o della campagna locale, la selezione di formaggi e gelatine fatte in casa, la pasta fatta a mano sempre con un'attenzione particolare ad incuriosire l'ospite senza disorientarlo... Le carni goduriose, magari servite con una riduzione di vino "Nero Buono" corese.. Praticamente ogni piatto è un'ottima scelta. Mai un errore, mai una sbavatura. Dolci superlativi, mai stucchevoli ma spesso raffinati e semplici allo tempo (merito della pasticcera Francesca che si dedica e concentra su questo). I suoi genitori sono il Re e la Regina di questo romantico nido di alta collina dove nel caso si può anche soggiornare in alcune camere presenti nella struttura. I prezzi ..assolutamente nella media e considerata l'estrema qualità e la quantità del cibo definirei ....economici! (I primi di pasta fatta a mano se non erro sono tra i 10 e i 12 euro, le verdurine dell'orto pastellate credo siano sugli 8 euro.. intorno ai 12 o 15 euro le carni e 5 euro i dolci) Veramente incredibile.
