Banco 36 — Restaurant in Rome

We had dinner here for a date night, and it was nothing short of magical. Tucked away from the tourist crowds and a little outside the city center, this seafood restaurant is absolutely worth the detour—a million times over.

The seafood was incredibly fresh, but what made the experience unforgettable was the warmth of the staff. Our waitress didn’t just serve us—she genuinely wanted us to experience what it means to dine like locals. Her recommendations were perfect, and it felt more like chatting with a close friend than ordering at a restaurant. The chef even came out to greet us, adding such a personal and thoughtful touch.

The setting was cozy, intimate, and romantic. We didn’t want to leave. It felt like time slowed down—like we were suspended in this perfect moment far from the noise and crowds.

Our first meal in Rome and what a treat! It felt like we were welcomed into a local home! The incredible hospitality, wholesome food and kindness was heart warming ! The food was absolutely delicious, oysters to start, freshly made gnocchi in a scampi cream sauce and a prawn masala spaghetti. The tiramisu was the best we’ve had! Locale un po nascosto, piccolino ma carino e accogliente, ha una veranda fuori che riesce ad accogliere piu clientela e tavoli rispetto l'interno. Abbiamo ordinato una cena completa di antipasto, primo, secondo e dolce, i prezzi sul menù sono leggermente fuori prezzo ma con lo sconto thefork diventano corretti per un ristorante di pesce, contrario per i 2 euro di coperto che sono troppi e non giustificabili per il servizio offerto e non inseriti nello sconto. I piatti serviti sono ottimi sia alla vista che al gusto, davvero buoni e particolari nulla di negativo,complimenti allo chef, impiattamento perfetto, quantità giuste e non risicate per i prezzi. Unica pecca è stata il tempo di attesa tra una pietanza e l'altra anche perché c'erano soltanto 5 coperti ed il resto del locale era vuoto (in mezzo alla settimana) e non ho capito come facciano quando hanno il pienone però nulla di trascendentale. Il dolce forse era l'ultimo rimasto e sembrava un po meno pieno rispetto a quelli che avevo visto sugli altri tavoli. In conclusione molto soddisfatto per un locale che serve pesce vicino cornelia e senza l'app non lo avrei mai trovato. Pro: Qualità del cibo, silenzioso, tranquillo, personale gentile. Contro: tempi di attesa, costo del coperto, prezzi sopra la media sul menù.
