Don't forget to make a reservation. Some of the most delicious food I've ever had from the Levent. 🥰 Set menu sets the tone for a memorable experience. Restaurant is very clean and cozy. Staff is some of the most hospitable people I've ever met (outside of Iraq). The falafel recipe is one of the best recipes I've ever tasted in my life 🧆 (sorry, Egypt). The wine from Lebanese vineyards was outstanding.🍷 The family was so gracious, warm and welcoming. Probably the most hospitable service outside of Iraq or SE Asia. I mentioned to Fedi & Nahed that I was vegetarian for over 10 years. Now I eat meat once or twice a year. I decided to try this experience and I was very happy. The cuisine is very vegetable forward. The meat (beef the day I went) is a co-star, and is absolutely delicious. Unlike some other MENA or Latin cuisines which are very meat centric - this meal was the perfect balance. I rarely like babaganoush, but I devoured this version. Same with hummus - outstanding. The meat filled pastry and kebab with some sort of Lebanese salsa was chefs kiss 💓. Najah - thank you for sharing your love with the world. From the sons you've raised to the food you share - it was a pleasure. Fedi - thank you for making my experience lovely and taking care of me. Nahed - thank you for explaining the dishes and your talented hands & cooking skills. Rome is better because of your family. Long live Lebanon 🇱🇧. Shkran! I will see you again and am looking forward to...
Read moreAn authentic, genuine Lebanese culinary experience. The Byblos restaurant teleports you in Lebanon 🇱🇧 with its authentic dishes from the tradition. You can pick from 2 tasting menus (one meat based and the other vegan), then you will be served with a variety of starters (hummus, tabbouleh, felafel) subject to seasonal availability (the baba ghanoush is available in the summer), cabbage salads, rice (the rice with cardamom and cinnamon is superb), kafta (the meatball with potatoes and tomato sauce), and the tawouk (meat skewers), plus a dessert (in my case vegan cookies as I am lactose intolerant). Everything was really delicious, and you could feel it was a beautifully home-made meal made with love. And the hummus was sooooo smooth! On top of the delicious food, the experience was complemented by the superb and friendly service, welcoming and warm. For sure this was a lovely place that got into my heart and soul. Highly recommended!!!!
Altamente...
Read moreThe food was ok, but the rating is coerced. There is no indication that they only offer a set menu for €27 a head, this excludes drinks. They also write in capital letters “you cannot leave once seated.” Although the menu they offer is ok in taste their fattoush only resembles the genuine Lebanese salad and has missing key ingredients.
The waiter was attentive and appreciative. This place is a solid 3.8 not a 4.9. I was put off when he asked for a Google review which made me see where the false high rating came from.
He did make very clear the dietary restrictions in the meals and offered other options which was...
